I will start by saying we had high hopes for this hotel based on the recommendation of a friend and the location. Very walkable to restaurants and bars. We did have our own vehicle and parking was great. We stayed at the Beach House for 3 nights from Tuesday to Friday. The first thing we encountered was that the reservation we made was not given our Jubliado discount ( senior discount afforded by the Panamanian government to retirees living in Panamá) but after a back and forth with the manager, that was resolved . The rooms are decent, clean and roomy. There is a coffee pot and small fridge. The only complaint about the actual room was there was an electrical plug in the bathroom that did not work and the pillows were weirdly small, actually child sized but nothing we couldn’t live with. The next disappoint came when we went to find the pool after a day of walking around, we wanted to cool off. It was a hard no. The pool is in desperate need of repair and is next to the resturant Mi Ranchito so you have no privacy. Apparently this pool is not actually managing by the hotel (?) but should not really be advertised that way. Disappointing but still hoping for the best. While the hotel is located in a beautiful spot overlooking the bay marina it became a detriment on the last night of our stay. We were awakened by the sound of “crouch rocket “ motorcycles revingtheir engines repeated for about 20 minutes at the intersection in front of the restaurant. Then they began to race up and down Amador until about 2:00 am. Apparently this is a known issue. I did call the front desk to ask if they could call the ATTT police but that wasn’t helpful. My advice is to pass on the Beach House and stay elsewhere.

Terrible
We were here for my grandmas 81st birthday and they would not let us have any towels, hand towels, wash rags or robes. The first morning we were here they only let us have one towel for 3 people and their coffee pot in the room was broken so when we tried to use it it sprayed coffee everywhere we asked if they could help, clean it, or give us a different coffee pot and they said no so we cleaned it off the floor and walls and fridge and table with the one towel we had. They told us that since we stained their towel we were not allowed to have any more towels for the rest of our multi day trip. My grandma is 81 and wanted to take a shower and they were horribly rude when she asked for a towel and told her she would not be allowed to have one. We didn’t mean to stain the towel bit the coffee was spraying everywhere and they told us they didn’t want to help us clean it up or do anything else about it and we didn’t think they would want sticky coffee all over the room. We thought cleaning it up would be good and we washed the towel out after so I don’t think it stained anyway. The hotel is also in a very smelly aria but it does have a decent view. I would not recommend staying here.

**DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED**!! I stayed here for one night and paid when I arrived. The next morning at checkout the receptionist said "Wait a minute, housekeeping needs to check the room." To my surprise- they told me that I had "stained the sheets" and $30 would be charged to my credit card that was on file. I said show me the sheets because I didn't stain anything. They then proceeded to show me a stain that was clearly made before my arrival and it was obvious that these sheets had already been run through the wash. They are crooks at this hotel and the manager has NOT returned my calls.

May 04, 2024Excellent views, great hotel in a great location
We had an amazing stay at the Beach Hotel. We wanted something close to the Taboga Island ferry, and this place was only about 200m from the terminal. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from all the shops, restaurants, and entertainment on Perica Island. There are a couple of bike rental places nearby where you can rent bikes and ride along the excellent bike paths of the scenic causeway. We found the hotel to be very low-key and peaceful with beautiful views over the beach and bay. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with amazing views over the bay from our balcony. We had a small fridge with an ice maker just outside our door. The AC and the free Wifi worked great, as did the TV with plenty of channels to choose from. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the included breakfast was very good. We were impressed by the reasonably priced drinks and snacks in the reception area. The bonus was a sloth sleeping in a tree in the parking lot!! Overall a great stay and highly recommended to all travelers.

Big, clean and comfortable room!
A wonderful large room. I loved the fact that the AC was controllable to my taste. The beds are comfortable, but the tv could be a little bigger (changing times!). The staff was friendly, and my room was quiet. The shower is ample and the stream of water was 100% American USA! It is ideally located and you can enjoy a day or two here and have plenty to do!!
