    Exceptional hotel.

Blue waters is an exceptional hotel, the location and facilities are excellent. We had a beachfront deluxe room which was well appointed and had a great view. Food choice and quality was excellent in all e restaurants. What makes Blue Waters very special is the staff, they are friendly and welcoming whilst offering superb service, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

A Laid-Back Slice of Paradise at Blue Waters

Just came back from Blue Waters in Antigua and honestly… what a vibe. The whole resort feels super chilled and peaceful, like you’ve wandered into a little Caribbean hideaway where everything is taken care of. The beaches are calm, the gardens look straight out of a postcard, and there’s always a quiet spot to just switch off. The staff deserve their own shoutout — genuinely friendly, always smiling, and somehow always appear right when you need something. The rooms are clean, comfy, and have that “wake up and breathe” ocean feel. My favourite part? Breakfast at The Palm and sunset dinners at The Cove. Great food without trying too hard. The spa also surprised me — actually therapeutic, not just a token resort spa. If you’re looking for a place to decompress, tan, sip, nap, swim, repeat… Blue Waters is exactly that place. I’d go back tomorrow.

    Pricing Strategy a Negative

Stayed here with family over the half term break. External areas are very nice and well maintained. Whilst the beaches are a little small there are 3no' of them on site so always plenty of room to spread out. Nice pool and decked area with good quality sunbeds. Staff ratio to guests is quite high and you get a very friendly Caribbean welcome. Rooms are solid rather than spectacular but most have sea views which is nice. The non motorised watersports all included is great. Two areas let the hotel down for me. Whilst the pool restaurant was quite nice for lunch, I found both The Palm and Cove restaurants distinctly average in terms of food quality and way over-priced. The hotel caters it mostly for all inclusive but not moving outside of the hotel is not for us, so we were on B&B. The pricing strategy for food and drink is a bit out of kilter with the rest of the island and overtime the hotel will suffer because of this. Everything is priced in US Dollars, whereas everywhere else we visited save for one place (The Hut) was priced in ECD which works out a bit cheaper. However it excludes not only a 10% service charge which is consistent across the island but also 17.5% tax which isn't. A Carib beer costs 11USD but when you add the service charge and taxes on it comes out at 14USD. By way of comparison, the only other place we visited that charged in USD was The Hut at Little Jumby. A carib beer there costs 9 USD however that price already includes the 17.5% tax. You are therefore paying an extra 4 dollars for a simple beer against one of the other top venues on the island. The same applies to food in the restaurant. You will regularly pay between 42-50 USD for a main course and then have to have 27% added onto your price. We ate at some lovely places including Casa Roots, Bar None and Le Bistro with the first run by a French Chef so you can expect quality. These places are significantly cheaper for much better quality than Blue Waters in terms of food and drink. Whilst the hotel has a number of good points, the pricing of food and drink if not reviewed will prevent many from returning in my view as you can get much better value elsewhere.

Came for a week for a friends wedding

There are pluses and minuses for this resort. Staff is lovely for the most part but somehow the service is quite slow. The food has been great again for the most part but don’t be in a rush when sitting down for a meal! The wedding coordinator was outstanding! Not one complaint! It’s the slow season and things should be getting into tip top shape but they aren’t. Outdoor shower at the main pool doesn’t work. We had to ask for towel refills more than once. The water station near our room doesn’t have cold water and we asked about that more than once as well.
