Locked in at the villa
The guest & staff were friendly. The rooms need work, and all are not as pictured, or close. I booked a superior room, that should have been classified as standard. The view was of an abandoned resort & flooded mini golf course. The hot water was cold, never got hot during my stay. The shower head did not stay up, & the sink faucet was loose with a very sketchy hairdryer that was wired in the wall near the sink & not securely mounted. I was locked in my room on my 1st morning, which I discovered my room phone wasn't working & I had to call the front desk from my cell phone, which after they turned on the room phone & called to inform me that maintenance would be climbing the balcony. They removed the bolt lock which was never replaced & caused me to lose an entire morning of my vacation waiting for maintenance. This issue is a security risk for female solo travelers and no one ever followed back up. They use old key card entry which I had to have reactivated several times due to "keeping too close to my phone".

Money pit from hell- pay 2000 more and go to an actual 5 star . I paid 5000 for 1 week through airtransat
**Absolutely Not a 4-Star Resort — Avoid** I stayed **6 nights** and mentally checked out by **day 3**. Calling this place a **4-star resort is misleading at best and dishonest at worst**. There is **nothing classy** about this resort. If you’re looking for **quiet, relaxation, or any sense of refinement**, this is not the place. The crowd is loud, chaotic, and clearly drawn by the **low price point**. If this is what someone can afford, they may think it’s great. If you have standards or value peace, you’ll feel completely out of place. The resort is **tiny, outdated, and unbearably loud**. Entertainment is blasted over a microphone from **early morning until 11 p.m.**, bouncing between the buffet and the beach. There is **no escape from the noise**. If you have **sensory issues**, this place is overwhelming and exhausting. Everything costs extra. I paid more just to be **closer to the beach**. You are **not allowed to take food out of the buffet**, even if you’re sick or unwell. Room service costs extra **even after a room upgrade**. This place exists to **nickel-and-dime you nonstop**. The beach rules are absurd. If you move a **pillow from a lounger**, staff immediately take it back. They literally **patrol the beach like police**. Relaxation is not encouraged here. Drinks are **cheap syrup garbage**. If you want real alcohol, you’ll pay **$4–$15 USD per shot**. The term “all-inclusive” is meaningless. They aggressively push a **timeshare-style scam** called *Circle One*. Around **$45,000**, **$15,000 down**, a **25-year commitment**, and **10% interest**. They don’t even own the resorts — they resell access to unsold properties. Even after paying, you still owe **weekly resort fees, per-person charges, and flights**. Avoid at all costs. Food is **barely average**. À la carte restaurants are difficult to reserve unless you spend extra money. If you’re not constantly paying, **staff attitude changes quickly**. Rooms are **old, musty, and uncomfortable**. The smell was so bad I could barely breathe. Cold tile floors, limited towels, and bizarre electrical outlets that barely work. Wi-Fi **does not work in the room at all**. The TV couldn’t load anything. If you need internet for work, forget it — you’ll be standing outside. The **only redeeming quality** is housekeeping, which was fine. By the third night, the resort feels **claustrophobic, noisy, and hostile**. You’ll start counting the days until you can leave. **Final verdict:** This is a **budget resort pretending to be upscale**, designed to extract as much money as possible while giving as little back as it can. If you value peace, comfort, honesty, or quality — **book somewhere else**.
