Cost not worth what you get. Subpar resort. Rarely had hot water, room was outdated, resort was not kept up

Bugs bit us the restaurant and in the pool, food and drinks were ok but not anything to write home about, bed was hard as a rock, resort was not cleaned up well, toilet had no water one whole day, towels were hard to get, budget place with a high dollar price tag

    Great Experience

I had a wonderful time in ST. Thomas. Bolongo Bay was a nice place to stay. I had the all inclusive plan. The food and drinks were great. The staff were incredible. The most nice and welcoming staff i’ve ever encountered. I just wished the showers were bigger and the hotel could use more modernization.

When visiting St Thomas, check out Bolongo Bay

Highly recommend the all inclusive option at Bolongo Bay. High quality food and drinks and the staff are amazing. Our view and resort access was perfect from Ocean view room 114. Photos below are from our patio. While staying there, be sure to book an excursion with Heavenly Days.

    Fine

The location is tucked away, but not too far from Charlotte Amalie. I would recommend renting a car to get around and being hotel-side by sunset (not because I ever felt unsafe, but because the roads are not lit or well marked and riddled with potholes). The hotel could use some updates. Reception staff was friendly, but did not give an overview of the site, parking, amenities or activities. We did have a little welcome gift which was nice. Beach/pool towels were scratchy and thin. Beach itself was rocky and small. We only got in the water there once and spent the rest of the trip at Hull Bay (best reef we saw and cool beachside bar/cafe), Brewers Bay (lots of turtles) Magen’s ($40 for two chairs/umbrella and $16 entry fee with beachside bar service and restaurant/restroom), and Lindquist (entry fee) beaches. Pool was also small and the “swim up” bar ends at 6pm. At 5’2” I really had to reach “up” a ways to get a drink from the bar with how high the ledge is from the pool. Wish they had a hot tub. The room itself was dated, but fine. Room was clean but the was too firm and pillows were oddly small. Toiletries were not great and we only had one outlet that worked. Room was quiet though and AC worked great. The restaurant is the only thing to do at night. They offered karaoke, steel drums, and a band while we were there from 6-9PM. Drinks were typical of an all inclusive but the bill was always interesting and never represented what we ordered. Whoever is doing inventory has a job ahead of them. Service in general is on island time. Get it, but we did wind up having to leave our breakfast table before food arrived despite requesting a rush order to get to airport on time. Bummer, it happens. Servers were all friendly though. Oh and at night there were a lot of sand fleas. Recommend pants in the evening if you want to hang out on the patio. We didn’t take part in any of the activities but heard from other guests that the sunset sail was nice and very convenient.

    Great food and value!

This was a great experience overall. Great value in the all inclusive package. The evening entertainment was very good. Food :great quality quantity and service. The Snorkeling tour was excellent value as well. Our room was very nice. The bathroom shower was somewhat small and cramped. But we had a great view and the then place was clean.
