  Another Wonderful Experience

  We have been to this resort on many occasions, and this time the resort has gone downhill but some of the staff has not. Shout out to Jessi & Stephanie (entertainment team), William (pool bar) and Luis & Carlos (wink bar).....and Suni (breakfast) for her beautiful smile and hospitality. And Allehandro (dinner). The new bar manager needs to start stocking so that there isn't a shortage of basic items. That is only complaint.

  Fantastic Stay At Breathless

  **LONG REVIEW ALERT** Let me start with the following: I am ‘upper middle age’ (55-60), I am from the Midwest, and This was my first trip to Cabo San Lucas & Breathless My wife and I went to Cabo for our 30th wedding anniversary and were specifically looking for an all-inclusive resort and chose Breathless due to its proximity to the marina. We absolutely loved it! As nice as the resort was, what impressed us even more was how nice the entire staff was, from front desk to servers to cleaning staff and everyone in between. They all take the time to know you, remember your drink and food choices and speak to you when they see you. Special shout out to Carlos at the Wink Bar, Alejandro at Fishnets/Spumante, Cyrce, Ernesto and Jesus at Bites and our room attendant Rosario – all made it a fantastic week. I read multiple reviews talking about the noise in the rooms. Yes, the rooms do face the marina and the fishermen get an early start (and there were nights where the sea lions were barking in the middle of the night) but honestly that was what made it great for us! Being from the East we were up at 4A local time anyway so would just get a cup of coffee and watch the action from our balcony. And after the first night we got used to it pretty easily. I would note we never had any issues with noise from the rooftop nightclub. The resort is directly on the marina walkway which provides great access to the bars/restaurants, access to downtown, etc. – great location. Also read some reviews about the food¬ – I will acknowledge I am not the world traveler that several of the guests implied that they were, but we thought the food was great. The breakfast buffet at Spoons had a great variety to choose from, the sushi at Bites, Shrimp Fettucine at Spumante…could go on and on but we enjoyed it all. The one issue I would note is the ongoing sale pitch to join the timeshare club at the resort. We obviously had the initial sales pitch on our arrival (which was expected), but after politely declining to the very nice gentleman Jovan, we would be asked multiple other times during our week about interest in joining. As I mentioned, we were there for our 30th anniversary and likely to be a one-time special trip so could have done without the constant sales pitch. But I will add no one was over the top pushy, and I understand there is likely a commission involved for the employees. Had no issues with the beach-facing pool/restaurant being in a separate building from the rooms – you walked out the back-sliding door into a turnaround parking area where a resort employee was on hand to make sure only guests were heading to the second building (and also keep vendors at bay), walked maybe 20 yards and you were at the second building. No big deal. A good mix of ages at the resort, and everyone could interact as much (or as little!) as they liked – the resort did a great job of playing quieter music during the morning at the big pool, but then picking it up as the morning led to afternoon (and more younger folks came out) and I have no problem with that – we just went to the other pool! Bottom line: We’re not frequent world travelers, and have never visited Cabo before. But if I ever am fortunate enough to return, it would be extremely difficult to stay somewhere other than Breathless. 100% recommend!!

  Location great, food and drinks not so much

  not what we expected at all. staff was great and friendly hard working. Xhale suite was nice but no real benefit besides lounge access with some better alcohol. Great location with marina and beach and pool views that is the only highlight. food was bland and very limited in type. We expected a heavy Mexican and fresh seafood influence. There was almost none of it. No lunch or dinner buffet option and breakfast buffet was small and out of food every day. Restaurants closed when should be open, limited small menus. Bars ran out of Kettle one, Capt., Bombay and Tecate light every single night. no specialty dinks or drink menu. Two building set up is crazy and very inconvenient. Very expensive for what you get, if you want seafood or Mexican food and good drinks you have to leave the resort. Luckily Cabo is safe and awesome with tons of bars and restaurants.

  Serious pool injury and a deeply disappointing response from management

  My husband and I stayed at Breathless Cabo San Lucas in June 2026 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. What should have been a special trip resulted in a serious injury that I am still receiving treatment for nearly four months later. On June 24, I slipped on a pool step where there were broken tiles and suffered a deep, approximately five-inch laceration to my shin, down to the bone. An orthopedic surgeon had to close the wound with 44 stitches. This was far more than a minor vacation accident. I am still seeking medical care and physical therapy, and the injury continues to affect my daily life. The hotel’s handling of the situation made an already traumatic experience worse. I was led to believe a claim would be opened with the resort’s liability insurance, but the follow-through and communications did not match what I had been told. I felt misled while spending considerable time trying to get answers from the resort and Hyatt. Despite the severity of the injury, I received no discount or refund for the unused portion of our stay. The response ultimately characterized this as an accident without a facility defect, which was especially upsetting given the broken tiles involved. I do not feel the resort meaningfully addressed either the condition I encountered or the consequences. To be fair, the service staff were great, and I have no complaints about their kindness or service. The food was okay. My concerns are with the pool’s condition, especially given multiple reviews about the condition of the pool and tiles, and management’s response after a guest suffered a serious injury. Nearly four months later, I am still dealing with the physical consequences of what happened. I am sharing this so other travelers can make an informed decision and be especially careful around the pool steps and tile surfaces. Good service matters, but so do guest safety, honest communication, and how a hotel responds when something goes seriously wrong.

  Great location, poor hospitality and dining

  Breathless location is great if you plan on taking advantage of fishing, yachting, or downtown dining. Breathless food and drink options were poor. Bartenders had limited knowledge on how to make a majority of basic cocktails and often didn’t have the appropriate ingredients. If you are looking for great location and have low standards for drink options and plan on dining out for most meals, Breathless is a good option. If you want a nice all inclusive experience and don’t plan on leaving the resort, book somewhere else.
