  Resort has potential but was lacking in restaurant/bar service

  The resort was beautiful and initial staff in the main building were great. Their coffee shop had excellent coffee and snacks and excellent service. Their restaurants and bars however were very inconsistent in their service and had long wait times. The went to Silk City for breakfast one morning and had a wonderful breakfast experience with quick service and good food and were excited to go back to try their dinner the following night. When we arrived for dinner and were seated we experienced long wait times and by the time our food came out it was cold from being in the kitchen so long.

  Nice place and nice beach. Pools were very cold. Food and location were very nice. The staff was great and extremely helpful. Room service was great.

  Great Place

  Everyone was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Special thanks to Rony from concierge services for his top tier professionalism and excellence. We have traveled the Caribbean many times and have had superb pool service- but Mercedes takes the win. She was incredible beyond words. Nothing I could type here would give her the justice she deserves and she made our trip all around better. They both elevated our experience. Highly recommend.

  Best place to celebrate my birthday

  Went to the Breathless Soul with my family for my 30th birthday and the staff were incredible in making it an experience to remember. Probably the best birthday I've ever had and ever will. I've gone to a lot of 5 star all inclusive but this felt like 6 stars in many ways. Special shout out to Ferran and the pool activity guys, and the bartenders in the lobby in the evenings. The food was marvelous in every restaurant, especially the Italian, French, and steakhouse. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The atmosphere feels high end in every part of the hotel. The parties were glamourous and mature, with great entertainment. My only complaint was that while the music was fun, the DJs in the pool, parties and club played the same songs every night, sometimes repeated in the same night. I'd say this hotel is definitely oriented towards people in their 20-40s but my parents enjoyed it too. Will definitely want to check out another Breathless in the future.

  Feels more like a hotel than resort.

  Dining service: No dinner buffet. Long wait times at each restaurant from the point we sat down at a table. (2+hours every restaurant /4pp). We did not even get our main dishes at the Mexican restaurant. We left and had no choice but to order room service. Need to add a dinner buffet or extend the lunch buffet hours for dinner. Buffet food, Xhale lounge food and restaurant menus never changed day to day. Very disappointing for an all-inclusive resort when there is a lack of variety, you get stuck eating the same foods for serval days in a row. Bar service: No consistency from bar to bar when making the same drink. NEED STRAWS. We wasted many frozen and mixed drinks because we could not mix them. Take a Straw if you stay at this hotel Room: I feel we did not get the extra service we paid for when booking the Xhale room. NO concierge service. Need to explain to customers at check in how switches and buttons work in the room. We did not know there was a do not disturb button. Unfortunately, every morning for 5 out of the 7 days we were there we were woke up twice a day by housekeeping and mini bar stock guy. Sad part is none of the workers showed us the button either. We found out by another guest in the elevator. The toilet is a wall mount and moves when you sit down. I felt like it was coming off the wall. There was a gap between the wall and toilet at the caulk joint. When you stand up toilet move back. Shower glass is only frosted on the panel facing the 2 double bed. (not frosted in King rooms). There is a power curtain that comes down for some privacy. Housekeeping: Only took out the trash, made the beds, and changed towels a few times (per our request). The room was clean upon check in. Only complaint was the balcony / jet tub. We ran the water in the outside tub, turned on the jets and water turned black (mold in the lines). So, we could not use it, and we did pay extra for this room. The balcony had tobacco spit and chewing pouches on the floor. There were several tiny antes running back and forth at the bottom edge of the glass (23 floor). Entertainment: We enjoyed the evening entertainment. Even though we did not know what to expect. Need to promote or explain the nightly event with more description. Beach: is beautiful, clear and clean. I give credit to the guys who ever morning are out at the beach racking the sand, bagging the grass on the edge and setting up the chairs. Pools: Cold considering they are supposed to be heated. Hot tub is not a hot tub. The water is the same temp if not colder than the pools. The jets are overpowering and will blow you around. It is not relaxing. Party pool music is the same every day, repeated over and over. Location: No shops or stores close within walking distance. Ferry to the island is a 10min walk.
