  Disappointed girls trip

  The swim up bar was closed the entire time during our 5 day stay. That was the one thing we most looked forward to. The bars also closed at 11 which seems kind of early compared to the other all inclusive resorts I’ve stayed at. There isn’t a lunch or dinner buffet, just grill by the pool (very good) and specialty restaurants. There also isn’t anyone serving you drinks at the pool or beach like I’ve experienced at other resorts as well. The property was beautiful but that’s about it.

  Disappointing Experience

  Very Disappointing Experience , Breathless Soul Cancun Unfortunately, my stay at Breathless Soul Cancun did not meet my expectations, especially for a resort that is marketed as a luxury vacation destination. One of the biggest issues was that the resort was under construction, and we were not notified about the construction prior to making our reservation or arriving at the property. Guests deserve to know about major renovations in advance so they can make an informed decision about whether they still want to book. Even more concerning was the condition of a staircase that appeared to be held together with duct tape. This was extremely disappointing to see at a resort of this caliber and raised concerns about the overall condition and maintenance of the property. Several amenities we expected were also unavailable. There was no gift shop on site, several restaurants were closed, and the activities and entertainment options were very limited. These closures and limitations significantly affected the overall resort experience and left us feeling that we did not receive the full experience we paid for. When guests spend their money and vacation time at an all-inclusive resort, they expect the advertised facilities, dining options, activities, and amenities to be available or, at the very least, to be informed ahead of time when they will not be. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Breathless Soul Cancun should be more transparent with guests about construction, restaurant closures, unavailable amenities, and limited activities before reservations are made. Had we known the actual condition of the resort and how many amenities would be unavailable, we could have made a different decision about where to stay.

  Five star prices zero star experience

  Please save your money. This resort is extremely overpriced and, in my experience, completely underwhelming. I paid significantly more for this property, only to discover that there are much better five-star resorts that provide far superior and more attentive service. What was especially disappointing is that I was not informed at the time of booking that the resort was undergoing construction or that it was not operating at full capacity due to a brand change. That information should have been clearly disclosed before guests spend their hard-earned money. If you’re comfortable with hot water that is barely above room temperature, drinks that taste as though there is little or no alcohol in them and are poorly mixed, and staff who seem to ignore you when you raise legitimate concerns, then perhaps this resort will meet your expectations. It certainly did not meet mine. By the second day of my stay, I checked out because no one was willing to take ownership of my concerns, follow up, or make any meaningful attempt to resolve the situation. I repeatedly tried to communicate my concerns, but there was no sense of urgency or accountability. What makes this even more frustrating is that this vacation ultimately cost me the price of two vacations because I had to pay for another resort in order to salvage my trip and actually enjoy my vacation. Despite the amount I paid, the experience was nowhere close to what I expect from a five-star property. No one has made any meaningful attempt to contact me, address my concerns, or make the situation right. Overall, based on my experience, I would rate this resort zero stars. If you’re paying five-star prices, you should be able to expect five-star service. If you’re paying for a five-star resort and are willing to accept zero-star treatment, then this may be the place for you. Otherwise, save your money and look elsewhere.

  Awful experience with inedible food and nonexistent nightlife and activities.

  Do not go to this resort for any reason. It was a disaster and disappointment in all areas. The main areas of the hotel had dangerous conditions, including stairs that were falling apart, unsafe construction zones and food and drink beverages that made several of my friends and I sick after consumption. I cannot believe that Hyatt would want to be associated with this property in any way and I will be contacting them directly with my concerns and dismay about the property.

  Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa - PROBLEMS

  Spent 7 days there Sept. 1-8, 2026, for a luxury (All inclusive; Adults only) vacation with my wife as a 50th anniversary present. Selected resort based on their website information/advertisement and other references. Made reservation for 7 nights, Xhale Club Junior Suite, Ocean Front direct with WORLD OF HYATT Inclusive Collection Travel, including air fare, airport/hotel transportation, and travel protection insurance. Expecting a wonderful time, we found a number of listed amenities (not all) missing totally or not as advertised. I have listed and described them below: Exclusive XHALE CLUB listed benefits (highest level of luxury) Includes: • Without notice to me, this resort had been sold and as of September 30, 2026 will no longer be part of the Hyatt brand. Therefore, they were going thru what they called a transition stage which was the explanation given as to why amenities were either missing or not as advertised. • Personalized check-in and check-out with concierge - No such thing. Waited in line at normal registration area. • Premium Liquors – Not available at any of the bars or restaurants. Selections were standard well liquors. • Upgraded mini-bar – No wine or liquor nips. Only cans of soda and water bottles. • In-room martini bar – No such thing. No Gin or Vodka.
