  Great Trip with Amazing Views!

  This resort has incredible views! We spent most of our time on the roof top pools. Check in was easy, but make sure you have a bathing suite readily available to throw on while you wait for room. My husband and I always pack ours in our backpack. Restaurants: French was delicious and definitely book teppanyaki as it was such a tasty and wonderful experience. The Energy roof top pool area has great entertainment in the afternoon. We were able to relax at the calm exhale club pool with amazing views. Beach is nice and the water is beautiful, but it is public and does get a lot of traffic. I would recommend upgrading to Exhale club due to the private breakfast restaurant and the access to exhale club pool. Overall my husband and I would return to this resort; the staff is attentive and friendly, the food was good and the views are breathtaking. Few name drops: Linda B.   Disappointing Stay After Multiple Wonderful Visits

  I have stayed at this property at least four times and have always had wonderful experiences, which is why this stay was especially disappointing and out of character. When I arrived, I discovered that the exterior door to my room would not lock, which immediately made me feel unsafe. I went to the front desk the next morning and requested maintenance. I was told someone would be sent, but when I returned several hours later, nothing had been fixed. I checked again and was told maintenance would come while I was at my work event that evening. When I returned to my room late that night, not only had maintenance still not come, but the room had developed a very strong and unpleasant odor coming from the shower. I went back to the front desk around 10:30 PM and requested maintenance again. After some additional waiting, a manager was able to contact the maintenance team directly and send someone up. The maintenance technician who arrived was extremely kind and helpful. He explained that the door itself was broken and could not be fixed right away. He spent time cleaning out the shower, which helped with the smell, though it was concerning what may have been causing it. Because of strong winds and the door not locking properly, the room was also very loud throughout the night. I was told the door could not be repaired until the next morning, and a maintenance visit was scheduled. Unfortunately, no one came the next morning as planned. I followed up again at the front desk, but the door was still not fixed before I checked out. On the morning of my departure, the odor from the shower began to return as well. As a young woman traveling alone in another country, having a door that would not lock was extremely unsettling. While I appreciated the kindness of the staff I interacted with, particularly the maintenance technician and the manager who assisted late that evening, the repeated delays and lack of resolution were frustrating. I have always spoken highly of this hotel and recommended it to many people, which is why I hope this feedback is taken seriously. I truly hope this was an isolated experience and that future guests do not encounter similar safety concerns.

  Clean, safe, high quality experience

  The hotel is right on the beach with beautiful views and calm water. It’s in an area with hundreds of other resorts but didn’t feel crowded. I felt very safe. The room was beautiful and we had a partial ocean view with a balcony that was lovely to sit and read a book on. The staff was friendly and helpful and the quality of food was really good. We felt we got our money’s worth and then some. We aren’t big drinkers but enjoyed a few adult beverages. Enjoyed that it was a child free property and well maintained. We took the shopping/tequila tasting excursion. We did not do the vacation club promotions nor use the coupons given to us. We did the breakfast buffet almost daily and it was fantastic. The coffee / ice cream bar was a daily stop. We did dinner at the steakhouse and the French restaurant and they were both delicious. We ate from the pool side bar and ordered room service and those were both good bar food options. We did the Chichen Itza tour with Equinox (I recommend Ricardo & the excursion). It’s a high tourism area and I felt everything was an opportunity to be sold stuff.

  Constant sales harassment

  Beautiful resort but filled with high pressure sales tactics. The minute you step off the elevator every day you are bombarded with sales pitches. It got old quick .

  Not recommended at all

  Not recommended at all. no hot water or pressure in shower. terrible service and food. waiting more the an hour to receive any food at any restaurant. when you ask to fix something its not happening although you as every day
