  Lacking in communication of directions and activities and customer service was HORRIBLE from Edwin P.B

  I wish I could say I had the same experience everyone online says they had. Firstly it was my boyfriend’s birthday I made sure to outline that online so when we get there maybe they would do something nice. that same day, we walked past seven door before we got to our covered in “happy birthday” signs and “ happy anniversary “ And we got to our door and it was blank. I felt so sad. They finally put the sign up the day before we checked out. We were a group of six people we arrived in a minivan. The man immediately opened the door before the car has been stopped moving and our stuff fell out because he didn’t even knock or wave or let us know that he was gonna open our door and he said that that standard for them to open the door without saying anything I hate that. So all of our stuff fell out and spilled onto the floor and instead of apologizing he just told us that that’s their standard. Every time anything went wrong they would say that’s the standard. The food was at spoon was Good it was probably the best part of the resort And maybe the pool. The pools were heavily crowded and they’re huge but it’s such a tourist area that the pools were crowded So it was hard to enjoy it unless you went really early and that’s when the sun is burning bright that’s not their fault but this is just so you know. I also ended up needing medical attention because I got stung by wasps and when I let our “guide” or “”hotel coordinator whatever the title is, Edwin , know that I was having an allergic reaction And I was wondering if they had any allergy Medication he said “ No, we don’t offer that and we don’t carry that good luck” an entire day passed. I had to go on an excursion when I went on the excursion my foot Swoll so huge That they weren’t letting me do anything I had to Google the nearest pharmacy. After I had told Edwin that I was not satisfied with the lack of concern, he showed for my medical emergency. He sent me an essay telling me that He was answering me outside business hours, and he didn’t have to do so and if I wanted to that, I could just go to the doctor on site, but that has nothing to do with them. Just so you know, the Dr charges $200 US dollars just for a consultation. Our bathrobes were dirty. The Jacuzzi filthy there was sludge in the Jets. There were little black pieces all over and I tried to turn it onto clean it. It wasn’t even working properly honestly not worth the time energy or money. I will say this the club in there was pretty cool, but I will not be coming back. Also, when I let Edwin No uncomfortable stay I had He said he had sent over a gift. Nothing was ever given to us not that I was interested but just in case they tell you that too they don’t send anything. They just tell you so they said that they did something. Every time people would randomly ask us if we needed anything in the few times we did they would say they can’t help us. Why are you asking? What’s the point of if you cannot do anything and I promise you it’s not like we were asking for something impossible it would literally be like bottles of water to the room. “Oh just dial ….” Why would you ask me if you can’t do that for me? I don’t know if you get what I’m saying I have stayed that many resorts in DR. Bahia principe was WONDERFUL customer service with top 10 food was incredible room service was fast and on point any allergies any concerns they were on it. I think you could spend less money at any other resort and receive better. Customer service. Customer service was absolutely terrible. I will say there were a few people like Carlos, our server at spoon he was phenomenal. Most people think I don’t speak Spanish but I am Dominican so there were times where I would ask somebody for something and they would whisper under their breath in Spanish, but I understood I will never be back there. You cannot pay me to go back there. Worst time of my life, customer service wise the food was cool mainly at the buffet the restaurants the food was made. Drinks were OK but again customer service was a freaking zero and if that’s a zero, then everything is a zero .

  Great girls trip!

  Carlos, Erickson (pool bar) and Shanty (Zumba and everything fun) made our vacation top notch! All of the staff is so kind, courteous, and friendly. If you’re looking to have the best food of your life, this is not your resort.. but if you’re looking to have a great time with a group of friends and are ready to have fun party days in a beautiful atmosphere. This is your place to go! we went for my best friend’s 50th birthday and it was a blast. There is such an eclectic and diverse mix of people and ages which made it even more fun.

  Do Not Waste Your Money on the "Upgraded" Xhale Experience – Total Letdown

  I was so incredibly excited to visit this resort as it was a major bucket-list trip for me, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. If you are planning a trip here, please save your money and look elsewhere. My group and I paid extra for the upgraded Xhale Club portion of the resort. While the exclusive arrival lounge was nice, the premium experience ended immediately after check-in. It took an hour and a half just for our bags to be delivered to our room. By the time we got changed and went to look for the property layout, we felt completely lost. Our assigned concierge was totally inattentive. We were given zero information on where to go, what activities were happening, or where to eat, essentially wasting our entire first day trying to figure everything out on our own. When I reached out to the concierge to ask why we hadn't been given any information, nothing really changed. The only time he contacted us was to ask when we wanted dinner; he would drop us off, and that was it. Nobody ever checked back in on us. On our final day, he barely acknowledged us, claiming his daughter was sick, leaving us to navigate the restaurants entirely on our own again. To make matters worse on day one, we finally found a pool area we thought belonged to Xhale. Because no one gave us any resort guidelines, we didn't realize it was closing. A staff member came over and rudely yelled "pool closed, pool closed" at us. When I showed him my Xhale card and asked where our group's designated pool was, he rolled his eyes, pretended not to understand, said "me no speak English" in Spanish, and walked away. It was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful. There is absolutely no reason to pay for the Xhale upgrade. There is no real enforcement or distinction between who belongs to what group—anyone can walk over to the Xhale side, and no one ever checks room numbers. Furthermore, the "premium" drinks on the Xhale side are low-quality. Ironically, we spent the majority of our trip walking over to the neighboring Dreams resort because the food was significantly better there, and their Preferred side actually served true premium drinks.Which was sore sight to see how their upgrades were compared to ours. Room service would take long or sometimes not come at all. This resort gets entirely too much hype. I have had much better food, superior service, and way more fun at Riu or Dreams properties. This was a total letdown for a bucket-list destination. I will never attend another Breathless resort. Save your coins and book elsewhere!

  Amazing hotel - worth booking

  We recently stayed here following a cancelled flight home to the UK. TUI arranged this as last minute accommodation and I have to say what an amazing complex and hotel! The hotel and it's design is amazing, classy and modern reception, entrance way and main lobby and bar. The amenities listed and quality of everything was amazing when it came to food, restaurant choices and the coffee shop! The alcohol and drinks on offer was substantial but I've had better cocktails at other resorts. They were very watery and lacking flavour. We dined at one of the A La carte restaurants the Culinarium - fortunately we were able to walk in and not have to book. The food was outstanding - best food I had all holiday! Carolita our waitress was amazing ; friendly funny and attentive! Massive shout out to her. The morning we went to the main buffet hall for breakfast and I dare anyone to say they couldn't find anything for their taste or requirements! Loads on offer - fresh fruit, yogghurt, pancakes, cooked breakfast, cold meats, fresh pastries, cakes - you name it they had it! 5* plus in my opinion. Now to the downsides - the first is purely my personal preference but I found it a bit too rowdy and party central for my liking with no quiet areas or bar. The second - our room. Whilst it was an amazing suite, stylish, clean, hot tub on the balcony it was damp. There was a dehumidifier in the room and even with that the bedding was damp and wet. I couldn't sleep in the bed - and as it was only one night I didn't complain as would be more hassle to change room. It was a shame but I hope a one off as other people and our friends said they had no damp. But this hotel is definitely worth booking just based on a one night stay and meal! As I said Carolita amazing, as were the reception staff booking in over 300 people after 9pm due to a cancelled flight

  Bad experience

  The food at buffet very poor quality, not enough selections and not hot enough, most of times visited food were cold and flys around food and tables. Resort not worth price paid, for adults only it was very pricy, do not recommend for first time couple experience!
