Small resort with all the pleasure for and outstanding vacation
The resort was relaxing with superior service and deluxe rooms. The beach was outstanding, away from it all so you can totally unwind. Evening meals and entertainment were extraordinary and we had an enjoyable time. Small resort but it was fun to met other guest and the staff was great.

Everything we had hoped for
I planned this trip to celebrate my husband’s birthday and retirement and Calabash Cove exceeded my expectations. We stayed in a watersedge cottage and had unparalleled views of the ocean, sunset, sky. We loved the private plunge pool and the beautiful foliage around us. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. The quality and variety of food was a delight, and the open air dining looking over the Caribbean was magic. The staff were lovely- gracious, helpful and fun. The nightly entertainment was a tasteful backdrop for romantic dinners. We opted for all inclusive for the meals, and we ate well! We especially enjoyed room service breakfasts which we ate on our private porch. The beach area is small but so tasteful and well kept. I usually am a beach walker which isn’t an option here but I honestly didn’t miss it. The private beach offers comfortable lounging in or out of the sun and there is plenty of room to play in the gentle surf if you are so inclined. The setting of the resort is masterful in how it maximizes the beauty of the setting. That said, we are in good shape ( for our ages) but one must be able to navigate stairs to avail oneself of all the resort offers. I must comment on the glorious pool. I love to swim and purposely chose a resort with a pool that was more than a token. For the 26 guest rooms, this pool is unbelievable. It is spacious for swimming with a delightful infinity edge to overlook the sea. The swim up bar is on the end and doesn’t interfere with swimming but for those who drink offers a delightful setting. We generally don’t repeat vacations because there is so much we wish to see. However, Calabash Cove may be an exception. Obviously we highly recommend!

Calabash Cove is like no other, with the beautiful views of the ocean and the sunset as well as situated ideally right on the beach which is quiet and just the soothing sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. The rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need. An intimate resort with everything we needed
Our first visit to Calabash Cove was also our first visit to Saint Lucia. We would definitely come back again! The room, restaurant, beach, pool and other amenities were great. The staff -- both Kevins, Donna, Sofia, Travis, Kerzier and Owen -- were wonderful. You couldn't ask for better service. The people in general were the kindest. We stayed in the Sunset Oceanview Jr. Suite which is air-conditioned. It had a perfect view of the cove and we saw beautiful sunsets every day from our room. The daily specials at Windsong for dinner were delicious. We also enjoyed a couple of regular menu items. We did the B&B plan which worked out well for us. However, if you expect to have more than a drink here or there, and you want to have all your meals at the resort (and snacks), you might prefer all-inclusive. Just look at the menu on their website for prices and do the math. Excursions: We'd recommend the Tout Bagay excursion as it's a nice way to travel south to Soufriere. (Roads get busy and it's a long drive south.) We also took a half day trip to Pidgeon Island (15 min by taxi) and hiked the whole place (including top of Signal Point) in under 2 hours. Make sure you stop by the Thirsty Parrot for lunch (pay by card, EC currency or have crisp small US bills without tears.) If you plan to do the Piton hike excursion, it may be worth it to explore hiring a driver so that you can arrive early and take more frequent water breaks at a slightly slower pace. We went on the excursion and they didn't do everything mentioned because they started late. The hike is more of a climb with rocks and roots. We went with a large group which arrived late and then rushed up the mountain in the heat. The drive made one passenger car sick. I didn't complete the hike and had to turn around before the halfway point because of heat exhaustion, dizziness and nausea. We did get to try some fresh fruit (and talk with the ladies running the refreshment stand) while we waited for the others and there was water and Gatorade available for purchase. We were glad we went but would do it differently next time. Other Details: They have both the UK outlets (type G) and US outlets but only a couple of each, so you might want to bring a type G plug adaptor plus a US plug just to have flexibility when charging your electronics. I brought insect wipes which I used for one of our hikes, but other than a stray bite or two, the mosquitoes left me alone. We traveled in January though which is the dry season and didn't have any real rain until the last day. And the bites were nowhere as bad as they are in the states. I usually end up scratching for days. The resort is quiet and more for couples.

Beautiful Resort in Saint Lucia
We had a wonderful time at Calabash Cove. The location overlooking Castries in the distance offers stunning views from all over the resort. We loved the intimate size, 26 rooms, and the quiet, laid back atmosphere. Nightly entertainment was enjoyable and the restaurant served excellent food at every meal. The rooms are nice sized and comfortable. We never had issues getting chairs together around the pool. The beach area is small but very nice and we never had trouble getting chairs there either. A bonus we didn’t know about is the Smoke Shack by the beach. We brought cigars and really enjoyed smoking them there. All of the staff were very friendly and nice, especially once they caught on to our dry sense of humor. We like red wine and we’re pleased with the nice selection included with the all-inclusive package. One night the resort hosted a reception and we were impressed that the resort owner worked the room, talking with the guests. His high standards are definitely present at the resort. To sum it up, one would have to look long and hard to find any meaningful faults at Calabash Cove. My wife and I have stayed at many adults-only all-inclusive resorts and Calabash Cove sits right at the top. We loved this resort and would return if our travels take us back to St. Lucia.
