So I didn't know this but you can only go to Ala cart restaurants every other day which totally suck but the restaurant are good when you do go. The service is actually very good and genuine which is really nice. They really do care I had a few waiters walk up to me and ask how my day is which is very nice. The pool are very average and little to no shade so break out the sun screen you will need. The buffet for lunch dinner breakfast is not good very basic you will find maybe one item that is good then not much else. However the lunch is outstanding if you go to the ceviche restaurant. The fresh made taco are so good and tasty. The snack bar for lunch is also good. The fish taco are great and super tasty. The bathroom was really not good dirty which is a let down. Room is ok ac is good. We did eat out the resort cause the dinner buffet was not good and we found many taco stands about 8 min walk you will see so many restaurant you can try. Super cheap and best taco I had. I would recomend venturing out the resort. Also there is a churro guy that's is what the stand is called and he make fresh churro then he rub sugar all over it. Best part of this trip for me. Cost was about.60 each one so we got plenty of it. Overall it is only ok probably won't go back but not the best not the worst. Kudos to all the workers cause I think this is the first hotel I been to when the workers actually are genuine and nice also caring. I hope them the best as they truly are special.

Great Vacation Overall, But Some Major Convenience Issues
First, I do want to say that I’m a little skeptical of some of the recent reviews for Canto Del Sol, as quite a few of them come across like they may be bots. That being said, I personally had a great stay and a great vacation overall. The service was good, the staff were friendly, and I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food. The buffet was really good for an all-inclusive, and the à la carte restaurants were decent as well. There were definitely a few things that could be improved, though. One of my biggest complaints was that the rooms do not have fridges. If you want to have a cold drink in your room before heading out for dinner, you really can’t unless you go down to the bar. For an all-inclusive resort, not having even a small mini-fridge in the room was unfortunate. Water was another strange one. You receive two 500 mL bottles of water when you first arrive, but after that you’re expected to refill them yourself. I think the resort could do a better job of providing bottled or easily accessible drinking water. The bar situation could also be improved. From around 10 a.m. until noon, there was only one bar open for drinks, which resulted in some pretty long lineups. I also never ended up using the swim-up bar because on my first day I went up to get a drink and was told by the waiter that there was no service. After that, I didn’t bother trying again. The resort is also very family-oriented. There were lots of kids and families, which is completely fine, but if you’re looking for a quieter or more relaxing adults-oriented atmosphere, this probably isn’t the resort for you. Another disappointment was the lack of umbrellas on the beach. There were no resort-provided beach umbrellas, so I ended up renting one from a lady on the beach for 300 pesos for the day. It was absolutely worth paying for, but I really think something like that should be provided by the hotel. My biggest annoyance, though, was the number of beach vendors. They were relentless. At one point I counted about 10 vendors standing right along the ledge between the resort and the beach trying to sell things. This happened constantly throughout the day until the sun went down. I completely understand that people are trying to make a living, but it became excessive and definitely took away from being able to relax on the beach.
