Sep 14, 2026My honeymoon experience fell flat.
I had been saving my World of Hyatt points specifically for our honeymoon, and after doing a lot of research and reading such positive reviews, I chose The Cape because I expected it to make this special trip feel memorable. When making the reservation, I spoke with a Hyatt customer service agent and specifically asked that our honeymoon be noted on the reservation. I had a wonderful experience with Hyatt during the booking process, so I was surprised and disappointed that our honeymoon was never acknowledged by the hotel during our stay. As a Discoverist member, I also hoped that, if available, we might receive an upgrade or at least a room on a higher floor—especially given that we were celebrating our honeymoon. I certainly understand that upgrades are based on availability, but combined with the lack of any acknowledgment of our special occasion, the overall experience felt underwhelming. Another frustrating experience involved a bottle of champagne that friends had sent to our room through the hotel to celebrate our honeymoon. We wanted to bring the bottle to the rooftop so we could enjoy it outside rather than sitting in our room. The staff initially gave us a difficult time and attempted to charge us a corkage fee, even after we explained that the champagne had been delivered to us by the hotel. For a celebratory bottle sent as a honeymoon gift, the interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and took away from what should have been a simple, special moment. The Cape is a beautiful property, but unfortunately, the level of hospitality did not match what I expected for a hotel of this caliber or for such an important trip. I saved my World of Hyatt points for a long time specifically to use them for our honeymoon, and I left wishing I had chosen a different Hyatt property for the occasion.

It has the view of the arch from distance, which was great for our trip because our water activity was cancelled due to the weather. Water is so clear that we can see the bottom rocks and we enjoyed see surfers a lot. Rooftop bar provided not only great view of the sunset but also delivered great service and great food. Even though we were not able to experience the Micheline restaurant, we were happy with the rooftop bar for dinner. Breakfast from the ledge was great, service was fantastic. Not like the other resorts closer to the Marina, The Cape is much quieter without parties at night.

Amazing all the way around
My husband and I came to Cabo for a wedding and upon arriving to our previously booked hotel we were very disappointed. We immediately checked out and booked the cape based on chat gpt recommendation. We knew the second we pulled up we made the right decision in switching to the cape. The view is unreal. The property is stunning. Service is exceptional. Food was the best hotel food we have experienced. Perfect amount of guests to socialize with but not overly crowded. Bedding and towels were all perfect. We are very picky about our hotel stays and couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. Waking up in the comfiest bed each morning to that incredible view and breakfast in the patio was everything. Already sad to be gone and will absolutely be back

Wonderful hotel with amazing views!
What a view! This hotel has an amazing view of downtown Cabo San Lucas as well as the Arch. Located directly on the ocean and a short 12 min Uber ride to downtown Cabo, it is a quiet escape from the madness of Cabo but close enough to get there and enjoy. The food in the restaurants is wonderful and the service equally top notch. Our bedroom view was amazing. It rained one morning during our stay but we didn't mind sitting in our room and watching the rain while reading our books. Great hotel!

Great stay
Amazing views, ambiance and service. Very lux and relaxing. Great food and drinks with a perfect mix of relaxation and fun vibes on rooftop. Just what my husband and I were look for.
