  Noisy hotel, small room with some floral smell, breakfast included is poor, no options, small portions

  Terrible experience.. breakfast with limited options. Our room was near to the kitchen at the staff arrive at 4 am., talking loudly, laughing and setting out clutery and plates.

  Must Stay!

  Loved this place. right in the center of town, very nicely done on the inside, super cute. The breakfast was delicious, the pool was perfect for cooling down in the afternoon and we would come back!

  Great boutique hotel

  From the moment you arrive you can tell why going to a boutique hotel makes a difference! As a welcome drink and warm hand towels is what’s provided. The hotel is 12 rooms with two bars one rooftop and one downstairs. The rooms are big and spacious. Our room was completely quiet being in the middle of town in which you can expect noise outside but we never heard a thing. Hotel staff is very accommodating, Jean Pierre was our bartender and was very informative with places to eat and drink around town. Breakfast was including in which I have to say each day we looked up to that part of the morning as we got handed fruits and breads with different flavors. This is a great hotel in the heart of the town and I would come back here in a heartbeat.

  Unforgettable week

  My wife and I spent a week here celebrating our 17th anniversary. From check in to check out we enjoyed every minute. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and filling. Great massages in our room, soaked in the jacuzzi, enjoyed the rooftop pool. Danna was exceptionally friendly and kind, treating us like family. And makes the absolute best Moscow Mule! We hope to come back soon!!

  A Diamond in the heart of Cartagena

  It is a lovely hotel in a terrific location with outstanding personal service. Just steps away from everything one could do in the walled city of Cartagena. The decor is clean and classic yet authentic to its place in the history of Cartagena. Each room is updated with the modern amenities you would expect at a 5-star hotel. Nice spacious bathrooms, high-speed internet, and television. There is a complimentary Colombian breakfast each day. Very high quality, authentic Colombian fare, and a few North American favorites like pancakes, oatmeal, and eggs. There is a gorgeous and intimate pool on the rooftop with a bar where staff cater to your every need. The quality of staff here was outstanding and the best of the three hotels we visited in Colombia. Jorge arranged our taxis to and from the airport and was incredibly helpful during the entire stay. The Manager, Rosanna, was engaging and constantly working to ensure everyone had a marvelous stay. Just a lovely person! Elaine was terrific at answering all our questions, arranging some great excursions, and ensuring we had everything we needed. Although Google Translate makes things easy for us Gringos, with sub-par Spanish, most of the staff has excellent English skills. This is a great hotel that is very well run. We felt safe and in good hands the entire time. Hotel Casa Del Gobernador guests are getting a great value when they visit Cartagena.
