It’s all about the people. The staff is beyond attentive. Sitting by the pool Juan, Uliśes or Ramon would be by every few minutes catering to your every need. The food was tasty. And the nightly themes allowed for variation. I attended during Thanksgiving and the traditional Thanksgiving dinner was delicious.

BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Had a spectacular 11 night stay at Casa Velas. Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel, with fantastic food and ambience. What really makes the hotel a special place is the staff - they cannot do enough for you!!! Special thank you to Juan, Ramon, Ulises at the swim-up bar, Fredy at the lobby bar, Edie and the other drivers, and Daniel, Beny, Enrique and everyone at the Beach Club. The reception team was also extremely helpful and kind, and made our stay incredible! I cannot say enough good things about this property and would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, high quality experience — we will definitely return! Nov 28, 2024Disappointing experience, to say the least.
Actually, we didn't get to go. We booked a two week holiday at the resort quite a while ago. We paid a significant deposit, booked our flights. All ready to go. Our friends recommended this place and we were looking forward to it. Today, we were advised that we wouldn't be able to stay there. No excuses. Just the old " beyond our control " stuff that means you don't have to tell us the real reason. So, we had to contact the airline to see if we could get a refund. Nope, the best they could do was a credit for future flights. The hotel contacted us and said we could book another hotel with different dates. The dates don't work for us so no go on that front. A really disappointing experience. We travel quite a bit and this has never happened to us. We have never been treated so shabbily. Needless to say, we will never think about booking this hotel again.

Peaceful Paradise
This a smaller adults only property that has an amazing pool bar but not on the beach. HOWEVER, they have an amazing adult only beach club with constant shuttles minutes away. We went there multiple times include for a sunset dinner. There is also a full size family hotel on the beach with full access. There is not a buffet however there is also no limit to the dishes you can order. The food is delicious and the staff is constantly taking requests or looking for suggestions to help you enjoy. There was never a wait at the restaurant and the ambience was mesmerizing. This exact property is very quiet and a great place for a restful retreat. There are numerous options for nightlife, and exciting adventures off site, so it was perfect for us. There is not enough words I can use to express how helpful and friendly the staff were. It is very clear they want you enjoy yourself and have a great vacation. That is true for both the hotel and the beach club. The grounds are gorgeous. I want to list each staff member but truly every single one stood out.

Enjoyable stay. Loved that it is adults only.
Stayed here for 3 nights. I was traveling solo. Everyone else was more a less a couple or friends. The staff by the pool and in the restaurant made sure I was ok and had everything I needed and would address me by my name. I loved that it is an adults only resort and not too big. It does overlook the golf course, but they have a transfer on hand anytime you want to go and spend time at their private beach club if you want beach time. The restaurant at the beach club was a great alternative to the hotel restaurant if you wanted to just change it up. Thank you Juan, Ulises & Raman for looking after me. I really appreciated it. It made a huge difference to my stay. And to Edie for driving me from the hotel to the beach club. I had a really really enjoyable and relaxing few days at Casa Vellas. Thank you.
