- WSW The SteakhouseThe letters “WSW” represents Whiskey Steak and Wine and occupies 5,600 square feet in the area where the former Queens Court Restaurant was located and is the only true steakhouse in Hilo featuring first-class steaks, an array of seafood, the best wine list in East Hawaii and a table-side Whisky Cart.WSW The Steakhouse will be serving dinner daily. The expansive menu to include and not limited to Premium Certified Black Angus steaks and chops, daily specials such as Surf & Turf, Wagyu Grade Tomahawk Live Kona-Cold Whole Lobster. Nov 26, 2025A quick layover only stay hotel
Older hotel in a great location. Our room definitely needed to be updated. Awful pillows. Found a toddler’s t-shirt behind some curtains from a previous guest. Bedroom door mirror damaged. Disappointed with quality of restaurant food and variety. However guest relations was prompt responding to an extra blanket request. Staff were very pleasant.

I was with a Road Scholar group. We stayed two nights. The keys to our rooms did not work the second night, No apologies. No clean towels were provided or garbage cans emptied. No supplies replaced. An unfriendly front desk. Again, no apologies

There are only 2 nice hotels on Banyan Dr. Hilo Hawaiian is one of them. We had a bay view room. The view is awesome. Coconut Island and a lovely park are next to the hotel. Our room was on the 8th floor, it was very clean and roomy. We were there celebrating our 25th anniversary. There is ample free parking. No free breakfast, although the hotel gives you $10 off coupons - 1 per day of your stay for food. The location is great - close to the Volcano NP, waterfalls, zoo, Mauna Loa nut factory, Hilo downtown and the airport. In our opinion the WSW Restaurant was a bit overpriced.

Stay away. Hotel is dated and dirty. Lobby furniture was stained. Room furniture was banged up and wallpaper was peeling. Asked for a feather pillow but they didn’t have any on the property. We checked out after an hour and went down the road to the doubletree. Even the desk clerk agreed that the place is disgusting. Clerks were nice and refunded us.

The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel exceeded our expectations for our son's wedding. From planning to execution, the team's dedication, professionalism, and aloha spirit shone through. Exceptional culinary experience, attentive bartenders, and efficient wait staff made the event seamless. Warm hospitality and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for more. Mahalo nui loa to Matt Pickett and the entire team for creating lifelong memories. We'll always treasure our experience at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Highly recommend for weddings and special events
