Stay Away!!!
Unit #205 in Bldg. A was filthy. The screens on the balcony doors were broken. The railings on the staircase leading to the room were caked with dirt. Unit obviously hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The office person was disinterested and put out when we asked if there was any tours available. Her answer was NO! Also not helpful in finding local restaurants. We had a 3 day reservation which we cancelled on the spot. Very disappointing.

Very dirty room
This has been the worst hotel experience in my last 20 years. Unfriendly and bored people at the reception. Room completely dirty and very strong smell of mold. Met spiders, bugs, ants and cockroaches in the room. Fan not working and fly screen broken that all the moscitos had a free entrance. Absolutely awful.

Best view ever!
Only stayed the one night but what a lovely sight in the morning! Only an expanse of grass between us and the palms and the Pacific. Watched a dozen boys play shuffle board while 6 or 7 people who've clearly retired went off on a two hour hike--made us smile.

A little tired but comfortable
We stayed here with friends for a week in February 2023. The unit was on the second floor at the end nearest the vacant lots to the east. The unit was a bit tired but everything worked fine, although the couch cushions in the living room need replacement. There is a laundry room and you can get change at the manager's office. The view from the lanai was to the southwest over the gardens and pool, and allowed for a perfect view of the stupendous sunsets. We could also watch whales breaching just beyond the reef, and must have seen two dozen breaches in our time there. The barbecues were fairly new and seemed to work once you figured out how to set the dials. The pool and pool equipment was clean but the pool itself was cold. There is not much of a beach here but you can wade out into the lagoon or borrow a kayak and paddle out to the reef. There is however, not much to see in terms of fishes, just lots of little feed fishes and an occasional trout sized fish. To the east is a large abandoned lot fronting a well maintained Hawaiian fish pond. The grounds of the resort were well maintained, and there were many chickens (be prepared for the roosters crowing), doves, sparrows and red cardinals. Other than the roosters and doves, the place was relatively quiet and relaxing.
