Worst place to stay in hawaii

If i could give this place 0 starts, i would. Awful customer service. The person at the front desk claims there is no front desk available on property even though he works there. Ask me to call all of these different numbers and claims that it's a 24 hour helpline, but their hours are Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 PM. They are not open on the weekends to be able to check you in. With that, the person that works at the front desk does not check you in. You have to call in advance that number, which is not open on the weekends, to get an apartment and room number. Again, the front desk person doesn't understand anything. I'm surprised this hotel is even still in business. Also, you have to reserve parking in advance, which is also not listed on the website or the confirmation emails. The worst place I've ever stayed at in my life, and I didn't even get to the hotel room. Do not ever stay here unless you want to waste your money.

Walking distance to the beach - great location for that!!

The Best thing about staying here was the walking locatioin to the beach!! Glad they had beach chairs, but would've been nice to have had some boogie boards as well. They did provide beach towels, and gave us more bath towels upon our request. Everything was pretty basic. Daughter said the bed wasn't comfortable. There was a big microwave that didn't work, and looked like they put a smaller one on counter ,which was sometimes a little wonky. We stayed 5 nights. the first night I was wakened by what I thought was birds screeching. We found out the next day when we went to the zoo that it was the gibbons monkeys (zoo right across street and those monkeys were LOUD). Also, the morning noises (construction, trucks, etc.) woke us up. That's what you get for staying right in town, I guess. The first night we got there, we pulled back the covers and there were hairs on the sheet. It was late, so we just picked them off. And we found some roaches. I know, Hawaii has roaches (I'm from FL and I know we have them, too) I didn't love that we had to pay $40/day plus taxes to park at the hotel. We didn't end using the outdoor pool, but at least it was close and accessible.

    Good Overall

We rate our 5 day stay as good based on location and friendly staff. The room and amenities a bit dated, but adequate. Good internet and T-V. We didn't need the kitchenette, but it was clean. It would have been nice to have a working coffee maker (so we couldn't use the complimentary coffee). We managed with the microwave and hot water pot that had a mind of its own. Both coffee maker & hot pot should be replaced or not offered at all. Both minor items in the grand scheme of our stay, but interesting that sticks in our mind. We had an enjoyable stay.

A must do for the price and location.

One block off the beach. Great staff, cean, a beautiful veiw for the 10th floor BYOB patio. Nice, the location, from here 3 blocks you can get the Hop on Hop off tour buses. Now thats a must do or at least look into. For me that made my stay simply the best bang for my dollas.

    Great pictures /miniature room

You know I tried to save my company some money with Airbnb. But apparently again I got misled. Just like the Airbnb in Alaska. This place has zero amenities. If you're not gay, you can't get a drink at the bar. The rooms are about 300 ft. So you're living in a shoe box. But definitely not recommend to anyone looking for a decent place to stay with a significant other.
