May 13, 2025Truly Unforgettable Experience
Our stay at this resort in Mexico was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel like royalty. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush gardens, sparkling pools, and breathtaking ocean views. Our room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, with every amenity we could ask for. The food was phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and with a great variety of options at every meal. We especially loved the beachfront dining experience! A special thank you to Otto, the General Manager, whose presence and leadership were clearly felt throughout the resort. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests made a huge difference in our experience. Highly recommend!

Staff is not happy, none of them. they dont have enough staff to work at the restaurants so they just send the taco shop cheff to the pasta place and of course food comes out weird. Staff does not listen to your needs. restaurants are too small, bar at the beach closes at 6 pm. they only have one bar open at a time, room service by ETC was horrible, 4 days without restocking my mini bar in the room. Staff does not listen to you, and they dont care. There is a reef very close to shore, where turtle feed them self out of it, so you swim between big turtle poop every day. Rooms were half cleaned, one night got to the room and there was a scorpion in my living room. There is no designated place for smokers, they have to go out to the streets, not safe at all. they say is a federal law, but is just Catalonia. Once again staff is not polite AT ALL, and is all you need to have a good vacation. Happy people. You will not find it at Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres.

May 12, 2025It was good other than the floating feces in the ocean
The hotel is beautiful And the staff very friendly, we were in a privileged grand family suite from may 2 to may 9, the rooms are spacious. The food at the buffet was the same each night, the buffet at breakfast was good. The beach is very clean, the ocean has pieces of human feces floating in it. It was a big turn off and upsetting as we love to go in the ocean. This was the only downfall to the resort.

Great resort at a very reasonable price
This is my second time at this resort. We are staying in a privileged grand family swim up suite, which is outstanding! The food is very good, although I felt it was better on our last visit. The staff is incredible! We especially like Aracely,, who serves drinks around the pool. Also Luis, Carlos, and Fabiola by the pool. Javier at the lobby bar makes incredible Old Fashioneds and is very friendly. The rim is very well appointed. I do wish the refrigerator actually got cold. We have to order Ice Service from Room service. We have not gone to the shows because the air freshener in the theater is too strong and gives me a headache. 100% would recommend this resort and would not hesitate to return.

Perfect Oasis
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was perfect. The room was awesome and we loved the beach too. The pool we hung out at was so nice and the staff was so friendly. The restaurants were nice and all the food was delicious. A really beautiful, well kept resort. Would definitely recommend.
