Another fantastic trip! This is my third visit and I think I have found my home resort! All the employees were wonderful!! My last two visits I have fallen deeply in love with Beloved restaurant and the people that serve it. They know me by first name and what I drink. Barnabe, Gabriella, Aldo, Carlos, and I know I am missing the hostess but I included her in my google review. We are coming back with the whole family next visit. It was so nice having the food trucks gone. With that area cleaned up. Pizza was great for quick bites and I treated the crepes for a sweet tooth from time to time. Cons beach service on privileged side of the beach was lacking 6/8 days. People crowding the monkeys and I am afraid something is going to happen. People- Spider Monkeys could carry herpes and rabies. Give the mom and baby room to move. Don’t touch and don’t feed them it truly selfish and it will become the end of them because of lack of restraint. My room once again was top notch and reservations online were easy to make. My favorite restaurant was Steakville once again.

Fantastic resort, staff, amenities, beach and shows!
We are here now for 10 days and think it is fabulous! The resort and grounds are beautiful, our room in privileged area is great and quiet. All of the restaurants and buffet have been easy to book and wonderful service. Beach area has stunning water colours with soft, white sand and plenty of palm trees and chairs. The Rock show tonight was Amazing!!

Amazing Holiday!
I would like to say that this Resort was absolutely amazing. Tasty food, very friendly staff and beautiful Beach and lots of animals around the resort. They do have 2 Monkeys mom and baby. They are very friendly and baby will climb on you too. There is bad seaweed issue in Caribbean since 2016, It was not bad at all at end of the September. This resort doing absolutely fantastic job with cleaning beach off sea weed. They start early in the morning and by around 11am beach is beautiful, ready for you to enjoy. I do recommend to pay little extra and update your stay to Privilege wrist band. You will get your room updated, access to better side of the beach and access to amazing Ala Carte beachfront restaurant with fantastic food. I must say that if you give little tip, staff will definitely show you that they appreciate it by little extras ;-) We didn't had to say anything at all and when we finished our drinks, another ones was on the way. They will bring it for you right on beach. We being looked after like that every day. Our room was absolutely spotless. I had some bad experience on my previous holidays with rooms, so I took with me some disinfectants (that's my OCD LoL...) I didn't had to use it at all. Only problem in this resort is Mosquitos. Lots of them. You need repellent. And my advice is to take with you Plug-in UVA Light Mosquito Catcher. Thank me later.. LoL. I Highly recommend this beautiful Resort. We had AMAZING holiday.

This was our fourth trip to Catalonia Playa Maroma, but it will unfortunately be our last. While the stunning beach and lush, green grounds remain the resort's strongest assets, the overall experience has deteriorated significantly since our last visit three years ago. The "refreshed" rooms are a major disappointment and have taken on the feel of a basic motel. The lack of functional storage is baffling—there isn't a single drawer or sliding door for belongings. To make matters worse, the bedding is subpar; only one thin blanket was provided for two occupants, and the pillows felt sweaty, giving the impression they are rarely, if ever, properly washed. The culinary decline is equally notable. The buffet has been stripped of previous staples like steak and salmon, leaving only very basic, repetitive offerings. Even simple requests, like a cheese quesadilla, are now impossible to fulfill. While no single issue is critical on its own, the resort is not cheap. At its current price point, the quality of the accommodations and dining simply no longer justifies the cost. It is disheartening to see a long-time favorite slip so far into mediocrity.
