  A Gem with Great Bang for your Buck!

  Our overall experience here was very pleasant. We loved the intimacy of the smaller size and how easy it was to find our way around. It gave us an opportunity to meet lots of super nice people! Views are absolutely stunning of the sunsets! There was a lot of room to mill around and socialize with fellow guests and never a need to hurry and save beach or poolside chairs. The beach was fairly limited as to how far you could walk but there was one nonetheless and it too was stunning! It was a bit of a long ride to the resort when we arrived but I think it had more to do with the traffic at the time than the resort itself. Also, not a resort issue - but maybe the Air Canada rep who bussed us to the resort - he maybe could have played some music or given us some info along the way since we spent close to an hour getting to the resort. The hotel general manager Caroline was around during the day touching base with guests as to how they were doing and was very attentive to anything that needed addressing including filling in for staff as needed. It was very nice to see her helping out hands on! All the staff was wonderful and friendly. The food was very good and although somewhat limited to the selection on the buffet, there was always lots of everything to appease everyone. The outdoor dining area is not enclosed so therefore not air conditioned. It was a bit warm out there at times. They try to mitigate this situation by running fans. The bars were stocked ok. Nothing fancy for sure as far as anything higher end being available. The drinks were inconsistently made by various bartenders and there was no table service poolside or during the evenings as we sat outside for the entertainment. No biggy as it was close enough to get up and get your own but there were lineups at times. More help behind the bar maybe? The entertainment was fine. I do think the piano bar musician was totally underrated! He should have been front and centre as the main attraction in the evenings. He was phenomenally talented and would definitely have kept people entertained with his talent in the main lounge area! The piano bar was in a little spot off to the side of the lobby and we didn’t even know it existed as there was a grand piano sitting in the lounge area and thought that WAS the piano bar. The rooms were comfortable and clean (although dated) and the a/c was a welcome reprieve from the melting heat. We had an ocean view and it was well worth the bit of an upgrade. If you had floors on the upper floors, the stairs may be a bit tricky for some as they were uneven and could get slippery from the sand or rain. There’s a hotel resident cat named Mary that was so sweet. She would walk around the resort but never bothered anyone. Overall, I’d recommend this resort to anyone wanting good value for their $! I’ve been to Barbados many times but this is a first at an all-inclusive resort! I would definitely come back and if making a recommendation to anyone, be sure to tell them what to expect.

  Fantastic Resort on the west coast

  We had a fantastic two-week stay at Club Barbados Resort & Spa and would happily recommend it. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome. The general manager whom we saw almost every morning looking after the resort, was attentive and genuinely interested in making sure guests were having a great stay. The front desk staff were excellent, friendly, helpful, and quick to assist whenever we needed anything. The service staff and bartenders were great as well, their warm, easygoing service added to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was consistently enjoyable, with plenty of choice to look forward to at mealtimes. The à la carte menu was excellent. Buffet meals were great with a great selection of food. One of the highlights was the excellent snorkelling right in front of the resort. We loved being able to head straight into the water and see variety of marine life so close to shore. The beach was conveniently close, making it easy to enjoy the sea and the beautiful west coast. The sunsets from the resort were breathtaking. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, with cold air conditioning that felt great after the very hot days in the sun. We also enjoyed the early evening entertainment and then it was off to the piano bar which continued later into the night. Since the piano bar was located at the front of the hotel, there was little to no noise for guests going to bed early. Across the street from the resort is a duty free store and convenience store where you can pick up necessities or souvenirs. Holetown, a short walk away, also has excellent shopping and amenities, as well as grocery store and a Starbucks. The resort has a welcoming, laid-back feel, with friendly service, good food, and plenty to enjoy both on the property and by the water. Those thoughtful touches made our holiday memorable, and we’ll definitively return. Thank you so much! (The crazy Canadians)

  Amazing girls trip

  Spent 7 day vacation at the club barbados and we had an amazing time the staff were very nice and friendly and always willing to make sure that our stay was good. The weather was very hot but there is three pools and a beautiful beach next to the resort for you to cool off. We all enjoyed the food and felt that there was always something there for everyone and all food was serviced hot. The drinks were also very nice and never a shortage of them . The room was big and the AC worked great. The bathroom was fine for what we needed with a big walk in shower. Keep in mind that this is not a big resort and that the restaurants are outdoors so maybe bring a small fan to help keep you cool in the evenings but it was perfect for what we were looking for and the location is great with a short walk into Holetown. Would definitely book this resort again. Thanks Club Barbados for a great week !

  Wow wow wow a Fantastic Hotel

  What an amazing place. From the time we arrived the reception staff were amazing so welcoming and as we went to different places within the hotel ALL the staff were superb. The customer service is amazing to be honest never experienced customer service like it and it all seemed very genuine. Everybody wanted us to have a fabulous holiday. Special mention to Ieshia, Cherise, Sonia (who smiled constantly she was a ray of sunshine) Shannell, Shelly & Samantha in the restaurant (there were lots of other servers but we seemed to get the areas of the people mentioned) Darious in the bar, Mark the gardener who kept the gardens looking fantastic and Akeem on general maintenance who kept the site looking great. We were in room 471 (loft ocean view) When we first arrived I was a little disappointed we didn’t have a balcony but would definitely want that room again, laying in bed with the windows open and listening to the sea crashing against the shore is a sound I’d want to wake up to every day. Glad we took an extension lead and extra clothes hangers, when washing swimming stuff etc left over the shower rail to drip and put on hangers and left hanging on window handles during the day. The beds were so comfortable as were the pillows and towels and bedding were changed frequently and kept lovely and clean by housekeeping. No need to take hair dryers etc as the change in electric made the hair dryer work at a less powerful rate and the hotel hairdryer was perfect. Recommend you take a small mirror so you can do your hair by the window as there isn’t a plug in the bathroom but wasn’t a problem for us. The food was lovely plenty of choice and all food is covered so no problems with flies as written about in other peoples reviews. Enid’s restaurant is bajan food which was lovely too. There is a snack bar in front of the restaurant and food was really tasty there. Entertainment was great and people staying at the hotel all chatted to each other and mingled with each other at night time so a great atmosphere throughout. Great swimming pool area with lots of sunbeds nobody saved sunbeds and cleared off for the day! We booked a car tour with Steve down by the sea and well worth the money no rushing at all at any of the venues he took us to. We booked a boat trip with Ronaldo down by the sea (the bar staff will point them out to you) and that was brilliant Sheldon & Mario on the boat were brilliant and so funny. Hotel was in a great situation to get on local (yellow) bus to go into Bridgetown and that was amazing the people were so friendly and really proud of their country they just want you to have a great time. We hired a car for three days which was well worth the money we used Go Rent a Car who gave us a free upgrade so got a jeep and would highly recommend, a great service to use and very reliable. We would definitely return to the hotel again we were very sad to leave!
