  Coconut Bay - Bring your family

  This was the 5th year anniversary of a family trip and we chose Coconut Bay as the location. 17 adults and 3 kids all under 4----I must say, Coconut bay Beach Resort and Spa had something for all of us. The food was delicious---there are about (4) restaurants outside of the main dining experience that is a buffet. Please do yourselves a favor and book these immediately upon arrival as reservations fill up quickly. There is a jerk hutt thats open daily from 12-5 that doesn't disappoint. There are activities going all day long---for kids, for adults, for everyone. The nightly entertainment was top notch- I was able to sing karaoke (both to a machine and a with a piano), we saw several great performances, I did my first silent party, and they even had a foam party that was fun. What really made this place special, however, was the staff. I made immediate friends with Kianda at the front desk--she was my daily "protector" and made sure my family and I were accommodated. She greeted me each day with a call and a warm smile. Tari, Brad, Neptune, Lester, Shakina, Ed, McPherson----day after day, folks met us, greeted us with a smile, with help, with warmth---they truly made it home away from home. And Tyron --he had a personality so huge that he made our trip pleasant just by being in his presence. He allowed us to hang up our tshirt representing home and let us leave a little piece of our family on the island. *pay attention to what the seaweed is doing---we did not realize how much there would be. You may want to take a day trip to another beach if this will present a problem 10/10 recommend this resort

  Our honeymoon

  The resort was beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make sure you had a great experience. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would recommend Coconut Bay for your next vacation.

  Great family friendly vacation resort

  My family (of 12) stayed here for 1 week. The whole family enjoyed their time here. In my room, my son slept on the pull out couch which he said was comfortable (but he is a 13 year old boy who doesn't need help sleeping). The room also had 2 double beds which were comfortable. The room temperature was adjustable and it has a fan. The food was delicious. They have a wide variety. The buffet changes every day so it's not repetitive. Ms. Mary makes excellent omelets. If you don't want the buffet, you have to make dinner reservations for the restaurants. Our favorite was Silk. We also went to Calabash and Trattoria which were also good. The Jerk Treehouse is open 12-5pm. If you like food spicy, this place is great. If you like coffee, you must visit the Coffee Café which is in the lobby. Stacii made amazing drinks! We enjoyed the 2 slides and lazy river. My daughter enjoyed the kids club which had various activities. There weren't enough kids for the teen club but my son easily found friends and enjoyed hanging out with them in the pool and in the teen lounge. They also had fun playing pool and table tennis. The resort also has a petting zoo with goats, donkeys, and chickens. They also happened to have a couple litters of puppies which they took excellent care of and we were allowed to spend time with them whenever we wanted. They are a non profit that takes care of them and couple adult dogs. The adult entertainment options are okay. About half of the sport activities in the schedule didn't happen. But the family activities were great as well as the night time entertainment.

  Planning our next girls trip!

  My 2 girlfriends and I FINALLY booked a girls trip after talking about it forever. I could not be happier with our choice to stay at Coconut Bay Resort. The resort was very quaint, which honestly we loved. It was so easy to navigate the resort and everything we needed was a short walk away. While the resort was everything we needed, the staff is really what made our experience so phenomenal. ALL the staff members at Coconut Bay were excessively kind and accommodating. They made a point to learn our names, make us feel welcome, and every interaction we had was so pleasant. It was so effortless to get lost in conversation with the everyone at this resort. I wish I had time to independently rave about each staff member we encountered during our 7-night stay here, but this review would be a novel. I do feel the need to personally thank several employees as they went above and beyond every time we interacted and we truly formed new friendships during our girls trip. Ritchie- Ritchie is on the entertainment staff at coconut bay! Meeting him at the foam pool party on night one of our stay truly made our trip what it was. He is so abundantly kind, passionate about his work, informative, and easy to hold a conversation with! So grateful we had the opportunity to meet him and spend so much time with him during our stay— he is truly such an incredible person. Johnathan- Johnathan is a server at coconut bay. He truly is a Jack of all trades and is SO good at his job. He was probably one of the most accommodating members of the wait staff. He would constantly check in on us and helped ensure we had everything we needed/ wanted to make us feel welcome and special during our stay. He was so timid but we loved every conversation we were able to have with him. Darick- Darick is also a server at Coconut bay. He served us both times we dined at Silk, the Asian cuisine sit down restaurant at the resort. The food was PHENOMENAL both times we dined there. We didn’t have a reservation the second time we went. Darick in combination with the management staff at Silk accommodated our request to dine at Silk a second night as we enjoyed it so much the first time we ate there. When we showed up the second time we dined they welcomed us with open arms, smiles, and many laughs! We cannot speak more highly of the food and all staff members at Silk. Kermale- Kermale is a bartender at coconut bay. He was probably the bartender we interacted with the most. He not only kept our glasses full but also sat and had countless conversations with us. Not only is he such a hard worker he is genuinely such a kind human! We loved sitting, chatting, and laughing with him. Lenora- Lenora is a bartender at coconut bay and one heck of a dancer/ entertainer!! She was so sweet and constantly checked in on us. One of my friend’s won the mixology contest held my the entertainment crew— the drink that wins is featured at all the bars across the resort. As soon as her signature drink sign was up, she made sure to find us to make sure we could order her signature drink. It was the sweetest gesture. Starz- Starz works at one of the poolside restaurants. She is one of the sweetest people we met during our stay. Me and my friends love to eat and always ordered SO MUCH food. She got our HUGE orders right every time and always had the biggest smile on her face. She would even deliver our food to the table at times because it was too much for the 3 of us to carry hahaha! Holder- Holder is part of the of the bar services management team. We had the pleasure of sitting with him and chatting several nights. He was so easy to talk to and one heck of a karaoke singer! I could truly go on forever. We had the most amazing experience at Coconut Bay Resort and CANNOT wait for our next girls trip here.

  Wonderful family vacation

  The resort had everything we could ask for. There was plenty to do for our grandchildren who ranged from 4-13 and for the adults. The pools were great, the kids loved the water slide and I loved the lazy river. There was also a small petting zoo that the little ones visited every day since there was a litter of puppies. The was something for everyone when it came to food and the specialty restaurants were excellent. The staff was excellent, from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. The only downfall was the beach since it was small and had too much seaweed but that can’t be controlled by the resort. The entertainment was fun for all ages. We all loved the place (there were 9 of us)
