Atlantis is worth the visit
Stayed at The Coral, which was in very close proximity to the convention center, the Casino, retail shopping and other necessities. The room was quite lovely & comfortable, with a balcony & great views. The friendliness & hospitality of the entire staff at the resort (and really everywhere), was outstanding. I will definitely be back!

Great except weirdly enough the locals are not as friendly as you would think !
We didn’t have hot water for about three days We used an AMEX to book the original Coral so was upgraded to a suite which was a nice perk! We also got a 100$ credit toward food through Amex Good Coral was nice . Pool was quieter than Other pools . Cabanas are 250$ for the day . Book online Walking was easy from Coral to Royal (the main tower-noisier /more action/casino ) Claudio’s (food ) in the Coral has a huge menu and is like an upscale Applebees Good : “Da Pig “ pig encounter on viator . Better than exuma . More upscale and controlled . No pigs biting your butt! Restful/peaceful /lunch on a private beach . 350$/2 people -worth it We’ve been to zoom out and it is chaos in a long trip so if you get seasick forget about it Look on Viator for Da Pig Casino : loud , smaller but fun tables . Everyone “tourist) are friendly. 50% of the locals are not - again odd for a county that is mainly tourism ! Poseidon’s table -Main Buffett -lots of items 38$/person Bad The coffee bar in Coral (sun and ice ) has rude locals working it . They are pushy and not interested in making tourist feel welcome . In general it feels like they have a love/ hate relationship -Wierd We have been all over Carribean and Mexico and these are the least Friendly -maybe retraining Expensive ! -no all inclusives The front desk at Coral was great -Arier gave us a 100$ credit for minimal hot water for several days and with our Amex credit we enjoyed 200$ You will need it because even lunch can be 75$ and dinner at Jose Andres “Fish “ and “Paranza “ was 200$+ and we only had a shared appetizer , 1 drink each and dinner with one dessert . This is not mexico and can get pricey to eat here . Kids look like they are having fun . Cannot bring kids to nice dinners at Cove (paranza /fish) Cove is most upscale . Stay here without kids and more contemporary
