Was awful from start, language barrier I can deal with but rude, most staff are rude and unfriendly. Came for the sea and snorkelling which was shocking, dead reefs and very little fish. Whale watching was excellent as was Santo Domingo both booked off the beach guys as cheaper and the basically same trip.food was very poor and made people including myself sick as not hot!!! Please look at somewhere else

Jan 19, 2026Fixing things with the wife
Me and my wife spent a week at this resort and it was a good experience overall. Buffet was good and surrounding beach restaurants near the resort were great and I’d definitely recommend going off for better food. The restaurants for reservations were not very good. The beach was fantastic and very clean. Also the walls are very thin and we could hear everything our neighbours were doing at all hours making it hard to sleep in. Me and my wife were struggling with intimacy due to BV (bacterial vaginosis) - and the sea water cleared our BV up quickly and allowed us to be intimate with eachother as well as several other couples. The nearby shop on the hotel also sells sunscreen and lubrication which was convenient because we forgot ours at home LOL, but it is a bit more pricey on the resort. Unfortunately our BV did return and we’re currently working on treatment, but definitely a good resort if you’re looking for a romantic get away with your significant other.

Jan 16, 2026It was fine but not outstanding.
The resort is compact. That made it easy to go from beach to room and restaurants. Understanding the reservation system for restaurants was confusing and the staff did not explain it well. Having some type of written explanation when we checked in would have been very helpful. A heads up that one of the "restaurants" is really a corner of the buffet seating area separated by a lattice. Our room was clean and there is a mini-fridge that was restocked. We were in the main building and I would request a different building next time. It was pretty noisy and the rooms don't have great soundproofing. I recommend taking ear plugs and a sleep mask. The beach is nice and we never had a problem finding beach chairs. Excellent bartenders.

Nice Resort, Could Use Some Imporvements
Lovely resort on the smaller side which is what we like. Plenty of loungers on the beach and a great swimming if area. All the drinks were good and the coffee bar and the coffee bar is fantastic! We were in the N block close to the main road and it could be quite noisy. I asked twice to be moved and was told no. There was also a lot of noise from the room beside us. Overall the food was good but I had seen in other reviews it was often cold and did find the food in the buffet was not hot. We have not eaten off the resort and I have had significant gastric distress from the second day we got here. Overall it’s a lovely little resort exactly the style we like but would not return do the room noise and illness.
