    Love at First Visit

This is the first time we have visited this property. It is now one of our favorites. The resort is located on a stunning beach, the facilities are very nice, our room is beautiful, the staff is exceptional, the spa is peaceful and the food is delicious. All this combined for one of our favorite vacations ever. We are well-seasoned travelers who like to stay at higher end properties. This resort was a pleasant surprise from start to finish. We are Club Members so we checked in at Star Prestige. Ijtai invited us in, sat us down, took our information and got us drinks while she processed our paperwork. She then took care of making all dinner and spa reservations. Before we could finish our drinks she had us set up for the entire week. This is the most effortless check-in we have ever experienced...anywhere. Throughout our stay, we were blown away by the consistently high level of service we received wherever we went. Everyone had smiles and very friendly attitudes. There were several employees that really made our stay extra special. Luis, the bartender at the White Shark bar; Rislo, the Concierge at the Beach; Jonathon, our waiter at La Barca; and Carlos, our waiter at El Antiguo Laguito. We took advantage of the Spa every day. The facilities were clean, well appointed and very relaxing. We took one morning to really enjoy the steam room, sauna whirlpools and plunge pools. It was a very Zen morning. We also both received some of the best massages by several different therapists. Our favorites were Laura, Theresa, and Estela, although everyone was above average. We have already booked another trip here in a few weeks. We can't wait to get back and enjoy this experience all over again.

Resort Hotel experience and staff - great. Not so much for the golf course.

My wife and I returned to Iberostar Selection Coral - Cancun for the second year. Cancun's weather and beach was fantastic! As before we had a wonderful room overlooking the gulf and enjoyed amazing meals at the various restaurants in the facility. Again this year, Saby, handled our food and drink orders at the pool - she is amazing - always smiling and working hard to take great care of us and all on the pool deck! In the main bar, Veronica took care of us on multiple evenings - with a bright smile and very upbeat personality!. Michele at the Star Prestige desk educated us on the benefits of the program and was a pleasure to speak with. In her first day in the American Bistro, Cicilia was a delight - working to make sure our meal of amazing food met all of our expectations (it did). I would highly recommend the Iberostar Selection Coral Cancun for a great vacation spot - the smiles and personality of Saby, Michele, Cicilia, Veronica and Octavio (Concierge) make it a place we wanted to go back to this year! However, I was very disappointed by the staff at the Iberostar Golf Course. I went to the course on Friday, hoping to making a tee time on Saturday or Sunday or, as a single player, join a group. I was told that the course was booked with a tournament on Saturday and fully booked on Sunday. While on daily walks around the facilities, I noticed that the course was not crowded on Saturday or Sunday. I went to the course on Sunday and saw it was wide open (seeing only several groups on the 8-10 holes I could see from the pro shop). I asked the desk clerk why I was told that the course was booked solid on Sunday. The staff member at the counter tersely told me that she couldn't help that so many people were no shows. Seeing the course empty on Sunday, made me wonder whether I was just given the brush-off when I stopped in on Friday. No apology, no offer to get me out on Sunday afternoon or Monday. Very disappointing. Tom Lux

    10 Year Anniv.

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. Cannot say enough good things. Service was elite, never waited longer than a couple minutes for drink orders or food at restaurnats. Armando and Emilio made the best drinks, and always great conversation. Food was incredible.! Not just the stand-alone restaurants but buffet and pool grill were also very delicious for quick bites throughout the day. Pool and beach were incredible. Never had issues finding a spot on the beach. the pool was a bit busier, but even if you're looking for a chair around noon, it shouldn't be an issue. Had an issue with our room being on the 2nd floor and overhanging the lower common area. Staff made the necessary changes, and we were relocated to a higher floor. One downside, balcony light doesn't turn off til around midnight, so it's hard to relax on the balcony late at night with a blinding light on you. Other than that very minor inconvenience, we had an incredible vacation and will look into Iberostar for our next trip.

    Nice views. Average food

I stayed 3 nights. The room was nice and the staff really good. The food was average. I did end up with food poisoning the last night. First time ever in Mexico with so many stays. Room view nice. The drinks were varied as you could order same one and it would taste different from the last.

    Good Value for the Money

My wife and I just returned from a 7 day visit to the Iberostar Selection Coral Level. Newer hotel where the staff are friendly and go out the way to enhance your experience. A special shout out to Williams at the Coral pool, who checked in with us every day and Coral pool Servers, who made sure our drinks were always fresh and cold. The food was plentiful and for the most part good. Highlights at the Coral restaurant was Brazilian night, a la Carte Sunday and the steakhouse at the Selection side was very good. Little peeves include: the useless soaker tub that takes up more than half of the balcony, food at the American Bistro was disappointing and the poor quality of the house wine. Golfers will not be disappointed with the golf course. The starter and his staff were very helpful and the rental clubs were top end, nearly new Titleist T200s, Vokey wedges and a Scotty Cameron Putters. This resort is a fine option, especially if you can find a package that is one sale
