  Generally good experience.

  I gave it 4 rather than 3 stars as the food quality and beach were excellent. Pros: Beautiful beach and calm, clear water. Top quality and variety of food, and drinks. *Most* staff were pleasant and attentive - had conversations with several over the week. Cons: *Some* staff were stoic and unfriendly despite a natural tendency for both of us being inclined to make eye contact, greet people and say hello, whether we're on holiday or not. In addition, on our first morning when we weren't yet fully familiar with the property, my wife poked her head in the coffee shop near the lobby which she soon realized opened at 7am. She'd walked in a couple of minutes early (literally 6:58am) and the barista bluntly advised her "we're not open yet" in a condescending tone. My wife apologized and walked back in two minutes later. Such experiences give you a jolt of disappointment when you're relaxed, on vacation and not expecting it. Some lunches were staffed by student trainees who were more interested in having a loud laugh amongst themselves than checking on whether you'd like an empty glass filled over quite long periods of time. Supervision and training will fix that. You just don't expect these kind of experiences at such a nice, higher end resort. Simple civility and attentiveness goes such a long way. The toilet broke and water leaked on the floor in our original treehouse style room. Stuff happens - no big deal. It was managed within a few hours, so credit to staff for that. The room we were re-assigned to was not as nice though unfortunately. We've stayed at Sunset at the Palms a year earlier. It's a short walk to the beach but a non issue. The dining was great. The staff were exceptional throughout the resort. Best we've experienced anywhere.

  Incredible experience!

  The food was outstanding, beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve every experienced. So many fun activities available and superior entertainment. We did a lot of the water activities. Make sure you save a spot with towels in the morning.

  Another lovely time

  Third visit we had amazing time it was a lovely room good air con and shower we loved the entertainment and the restaurants and food was good We missed not having the app on the phone and no water bottles but no big deal We will book for next year

  CSA continues to wow us!

  As with the past 5 times there, the beach was wonderful, sports complex and spa were delightful, entertainment was nice, grounds were perfect, and the staff were amazing. A few to mention who exceeded our expectations are, Cean, Chardonay, Shania, Rick, Hakeem and Marvin. The entertainers in the piano bar were excellent as well. Overall, our trip was top notch!

  Outstanding resort

  I can only guess that a one star review has two sides to the story. I am disappointed with myself for reading them and half believing them! The staff were absolutely incredible, worked so hard with every request and everything was done professionally, efficiently and with smiles and jokes. Highly recommend Collinton at reception. He went above and beyond for us. The food quality and presentation is outstanding with again, the most accommodating service. Did not have a bad meal in seven days at the resort. Highly recommend Kashana at the palm as your server and Christopher is the most outstanding team leader and pure gentleman. The rooms are stunning and the room service was flawless. Bed were extremely comfortable. Thank you Shamine. The groundsmen keep the gardens and the beach spotless every morning and always with a smile and a joke. The staff running the water sports and boat tours were so much fun and also very knowledgeable, I highly recommend the catamaran and the glass bottom boat, so enjoyable. (Highly recommend Damion). I had a body scrub, seaweed wrap and facial at the spa by Nadeen and I have never had a spa experience quite like it. Again, she is absolutely incredible and was one of many highlights of my trip. Beach bar service (bamboo bar) was amazing and in particular Mario. Professional, polite but also fun. Remembered our orders and came around with fruit kabobs. We have travelled around the world, and this resort is truly outstanding and deserves a five star rating.
