Impressive Recovery and Exceptional Stay at Swept Away
I was a little worried about our trip to Jamaica this year after Hurricane Melissa, but those concerns disappeared the moment we got through the airport. This was our eighth visit to Swept Away, and it turned out to be one of the best yet. There is some visible impact from the hurricane, but the island—especially the Negril area—has done an incredible job recovering. At Swept Away, a few trees are gone and some supplies are limited, but nothing that affected our stay in any meaningful way. Our room had been remodeled and felt fresh and welcoming. The service was the best we've experienced since our very first visit, and the food was as wonderful as always. It’s truly impressive how far both the island and the resort have come in such a short time after the storm. A big shout‑out to the staff this year—they were absolutely amazing.

Average
First time at Couples. Overall, It gets a 3. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The unit was clean and comfortable. The green jungle atmosphere was very nice. We had nice massages at the spa. Unfortunately, the food was below average with many “out of stock” items. The resort is very out-dated and many things were broken; 3 out of 4 jacuzzis were out of order. The mens steam room was also not working. It was hard to relax at the beach with constant interruptions of locals trying to sell drugs, jewelry, etc. the drinks were too sweet, watered down, and use of cheap liquor. Couples Resorts really needs to invest in this resort to get it up to par, especially with what they are charging. We won’t be back.

Amazing stay!
This was a relaxing getaway with plenty of activities available. Beautiful surroundings, clean and comfortable rooms, great food. We met several people who had been there many times. The massage spa was amazing. Enjoyed the sports complex. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Amazing experience with most beautiful beach!
The staff was as always amazing, friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The rooms were very spacious and air conditioned, which is a must. The different dining experiences were amazing with many different types of meals to choose from. The beach was beautiful and very well maintained and beach bars always ready with a smile to make you whatever drink you desire!!

Very very accomodating, delightful, beautiful beach, resort,
Swept Away is a wonderful home away from home and "all inclusive" makes it a great experience....staff is delightfully helpful, friendly, and genuine Jamaicans!! and culinary experience...all staff wonderful and fellow guests delighted to be there leading to most being "repeaters' returning every year from a respite from cold US winters...and from Europe as well...
