Great resort!
We are leaving CTI today. The weather has not been great. Coldest and windiest in our 16 years of coming to Jamaica. However we had a great time. The staff are A++; the very best food we have ever had at an All Inclusive , kudos to all the chefs and especially the manager over all dining, Stephan! As it has been stated many times, the resort is dated but it is very clean! The guests are all friendly and we loved the small, quaint size of the overall resort. Unfortunately the beach has taken a beating but we were told it will come back. We have struggled to find our" home" in Jamaica since The Jewel Dunns River closed a few years ago. We can now call CTI our new Jamaican home. We will be back...same time next year.

Beach Paradise
Couples Tower Isle is a lovely resort with such a great staff and food. My husband and I enjoyed our recent stay throughly. I was amazed again with how many guests return year after year. The repeater's dinner was truly special. The seafood mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. Other highlights were the entertainment staff (Shaquie, Shani, Duvoun, Brittany, Garth, Rojay), Craygon the sing along piano singer, and the yoga classes. My favorite bartender was Deon. Her mixology skills were over the top.

Just Ok
Having read lots of reviews on here before booking I was really expecting to be wowed by this resort, but I wasn’t. I appreciate CTI was built in the 1950s but I found many of the communal areas to be tired and tatty. There was a literal puddle in our corridor for most of our 2 week vacation due to a leak in the ceiling. Other than a maintenance sign and a soggy towel, little effort appeared to be made to deal with it. Our room was perfectly fine and functional and the bed comfortable. It was cleaned by Jean who was such a lovely lady and clearly took pride in ensuring she did a great job. When the weather was good we managed to get out on the snorkel trips, however we had around 6 days of then wet and windy weather and I found there was little to do around the resort. As another person has commented, for a Couples resort, there were several loud, rowdy groups celebrating birthdays/weddings which was quite impactful for those of us that were hoping for a quiet getaway! Broken glass around the jacuzzi area one day was a health hazard and a couple openly smoking weed in the jacuzzi with little consideration for other guests. The buffet did not have a great amount of choice but what was there was nice and well flavoured. We dined at least twice at each of Verandah, Bayside and Eight Rivers and these meals were superb. The coffee shop was a nice touch but it depended on who was serving, put it this way, some had a more cheerful demeanour than others! The majority of staff were warm and welcoming whilst some were clearly not bothered. I won’t name names, but there were tips handed to those that I felt gave good service and it was deserved. This is supposed to be a non tipping resort, hence why I didn’t automatically give a gratuity as this shouldn’t have had an impact on service given. On one of the wet days we utilised the advertised excursion into Ocho Rios - we really shouldn’t have bothered. 5 couples in a small mini van that smelt so badly of diesel that we felt light headed. We were taken to specific shops where I felt like we were being pressured into buying tat. After 2 hrs we insisted on going back to the hotel and we complained to guest services. They sent a bottle of wine to the room and a plate of cheese and biscuits…..at an AI resort, whilst appreciated it seemed a little pointless. We couldn’t even eat the plate of food, as despite being covered in food wrap, there were small flies in the food! Overall our experience here was disappointing. We had saved for 2 years for this trip, which was a treat for my 50th birthday. I so wanted to be blown away but was just left feeling meh.

Not quite a romantic retreat.
We stayed here for only 3 nights and this is my experience. This hotel is staffed by amazing people who are engaging and pleasant, yes the rooms are a little tired but when you know the hotel was built in 1949 it really has stood tge test of time, the rooms are clean, towels are good quality the beds are comfortable. I loved the view from the balcony. There are a number of restaurants as well as very well stocked buffet for all meals, we ate in 8 rivers the service was great and the food and menu very good. We ate at the Asian fusion restaurant which is on the water, again service was amazing and the food was good. Now for the bad bits, couples to me means peace, relaxation and time to chill as a couple. There were lots of groups of people, this hotel does weddings where the guests stayed in the hotel, they were loud constantly whooping and screaming, their wedding was outside our room on a roof top, thankfully the music was quietened at a reasonable hour. Bartenders encouraging the groups with shots do not help, the piano bar was so loud with drunken guests, there were not enough people serving so when a group wanted about 10 shots it takes a while for service. The westher was not the best, the beach was covered with sea weed that covered the beach, not sure what the answer to the priblem is but putting it back into the sea for it to wash up day after day is not a good look. Beds were cramped together with cushions just slung over the back of them for guests to put on them selves a beach person would have been nice. This resort is nice and clean staff are amazing, people return year after year, i dont think we will.

Our now favorite resort!
My new favorite resort. This quaint little resort has the vibe of the resort in Dirty Dancing!! Best resort food we have ever had. The staff, beach, activities are all impressive. No vendors bugging you on the beach, no time share pitch, no pressure to come participate if you just want to relax. The piano bar every night was so much fun! We can't wait to go again!
