  Great location, great price!

  Loved this hotel for its location and price! We stayed on the Kuhio street and was impressed how quiet it was for being right above Kuhio avenue. Appreciated the ability to refill our water bottles with ice and water in the lobby. The pool was best used earlier in morning for the sun. Next time gonna make time for the mini-golf they offer near valet. Matt at the front desk was so helpful to us in answering questions prior to arrival and upon check-in, which made the stay run much smoother. Thanks Matt!

  A True Home Away From Home in Waikiki

  As someone who was raised in Hawaiʻi and now lives on the mainland, I can confidently say that the Courtyard Marriott Waikiki Beach is one of the most special hotels I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at many Marriott properties and resorts throughout Hawaiʻi, but this hotel consistently stands out for one reason: its people. From the moment you arrive, your experience is positive. Whether you're greeted by the friendly valet team taking care of your vehicle or welcomed at the front desk with genuine smiles, there is a level of warmth and transparency here that is difficult to find elsewhere. The customer service is not just professional, it is authentic. What truly makes this property exceptional is its outstanding staff. I would especially like to recognize Front Office Director DK, who personally stepped in to help retrieve my luggage when the porters were busy. That level of leadership and hands-on commitment speaks volumes about the culture of this hotel. Assistant Front Office Director Michelle is equally remarkable and consistently demonstrates professionalism, care, and hospitality. The entire team deserves recognition for their unwavering commitment to guest service. Kalehua L., Matt, Eunike, McKinley, Mark, and the rest of the front office staff consistently provide exceptional service with genuine aloha. A special mahalo goes to Meynard Bumatay and the night crew, who always go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, comfortable, and valued no matter what time of day they arrive. The rooms are comfortable, well-maintained, and consistently clean. The location is ideal, putting guests within walking distance of Waikiki's beaches, dining, shopping, and attractions. However, what truly sets this hotel apart has nothing to do with the building itself. It is the people. As a local person living away from home, I deeply appreciate that many of the employees are local residents who understand Hawaiian culture and what "aloha" truly means. There is something incredibly meaningful about being greeted with familiar local warmth and hearing terms of endearment such as "Aunty" or "Uncle." For those of us who have moved away from the islands, these small gestures bring an immediate sense of comfort, belonging, and home. The employees understand that hospitality is more than providing a room; it is about creating a connection. They successfully bring Hawaiʻi's aloha spirit into a large corporate hotel environment, and that is no small accomplishment. If you are from Hawaiʻi and living on the mainland, this hotel will make you feel like you've come home. If you are visiting the islands for the first time, you will experience the genuine spirit of local hospitality that makes Hawaiʻi so special. I commend every member of the Courtyard Marriott Waikiki Beach team for their consistency, professionalism, and heartfelt service. They have created something truly unique, and it keeps me coming back. Mahalo nui loa to the entire team. You are the reason this hotel is one of Waikiki's hidden gems and, in my opinion, one of the very best Marriott properties in Hawaiʻi. *****

  I expected better from Courtyard by Marriott

  There were a few things that were not good. 1. Housekeeping did not refresh the room the first day of our visit. We had to call the front desk. They brought towels up around 5:00 pm. They did not bring bring more coffee packets. 2. The bathroom and shower were small. Counter space in the bathroom was extremely limited. 3. One of the window blinds was broken and would not open. That meant we could not enjoy the view from that window. 4. Water pooled on the balcony. It did not enter the room, but it did limit the use of the balcony. 5. One window rattled in the frame when the wind blew. This made it hard to sleep. It was also very concerning when the storm struck. We did not know if the window would blow out in the middle of the storm. 6. The elevator quit working a couple of times. This was concerning because our room was on the 10th floor. 7. A loudspeaker announcement in the middle of the night told people not to use the the elevator. This may have been to prevent people from being trapped if the power went out. However the announcement was not clear and was not repeated. 8. There was water in the stairwell. The water made the concrete stairs slick and unsafe. 9. One light was not functioning properly in the stairwell creating an unsafe situation. 10. Water began dripping from the ceiling of our room during the storm. This was concerning. We called the Front Desk and they said they would have Engineering look into it. We checked out before anyone came to check on the leak. That was at least 4 hours after we reported the leak. 11. Parking was horrible. This made it dangerous to cross the parking lot to reach our room. 12. Waikiki Beach was about 1/2 mile away. It would require crossing several busy streets to walk to the beach. 13. The room was expensive, really expensive! I suppose this is to be expected in an exotic destination, The hotel waived the "Resort Fees" because of the water leak leak, The staff we interacted with were very friendly and appeared to care about the customers. But dang, why couldn't they provide coffee, clean towels and a dry room. I expected better from a Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

  Courtyard Marriott Honolulu

  The hotel near beach one block or parallel to Kuhio beach street . The rooms are on the older side but the location is good. I would choose the rooms that connect to the lobby

  Courtyard Waikīkī – Disappointing Stay

  The Courtyard by Marriott Waikīkī fell short of expectations. Service was inconsistent, the facilities felt worn and outdated, and the room didn’t meet the comfort or cleanliness standards I expect from Marriott. The location is convenient, but the hotel itself needs major improvements before I’d consider returning. On top of that, the valet situation was the worst part of the stay. The valet team themselves were amazing — friendly, hardworking, and doing their best — but the parking setup was terrible. Tight space, confusing flow, and overall poor conditions that made the whole process frustrating. The staff deserves better infrastructure to work with, and guests deserve a smoother experience.
