Average hotel with mediocre food & service
Hotel Cozumel has a beautiful pool and our rooms were larger and better outfitted than other hotels we've used on the island. Food was average. The best night was typical Mexican fare and it was outstanding. The rest of the week left us underwhelmed. Snack bar was solid - small menu, but all done well and made-to-order. All other meals are essentially buffet. Service was also generally underwhelming. There isn't a swim-up bar and the pool bar was closed during 2 of our 6 days. Best part of the service is Kiera Valdez. She serviced the snack seating & pool. She ran around that deck grabbing orders every day while three people stood around in the indoor bar doing very little. Management sent no one to help Kiera as she serviced more than 50 people by herself. Through it all, she kept a smile on her face & took orders! Check-in & out is incredibly, mind-numbingly, & frustratingly slow and the staff are completely inflexible with any changes to your reservation. In my opinion, Kiera is the hardest working person at the resort and the only one who hustles to provide fabulous customer service. In nearly every other area of the resort, workers are just standing around, not looking at what they can do to help or identifying where needs might be. Service issues won't stop us from returning, but we'll return with a bag of snacks and lowered expectations.

Great time.
Great place for the center of our scuba vacation. Rooms are nice, clean and well maintained. Internet worked great. The food and services was also outstanding All the people that served us were hard working and nice. Shout out to our outside waitress. Leila Valdez works hard and was outstanding. We will return.

Chill & relaxing
The staff was amazing. They were attentive & went over and beyond to help us. We had a bumpy start with the room they gave us, but they gave us a better room after we told them. Keira was really fabulous! She always had a smile on her face and made sure we were always taken care of. Great service. Thank you!

Ironman 70.3 BASE! Excellent Experience!
This was our first time to Cozumel and to the Cozumel Hotel and Resort- it certainly won’t be our last! The staff were amazing! I think it’s fair to say we made friends, who we look forward to seeing again! Keira was awesome. There wasn’t a moment we didn’t feel welcome. She took a genuine interest in us in addition to ensuring excellent service! I can’t say enough good things! Daniel at the bar was also amazing. His story telling and conversation made our evenings very pleasant. The front desk staff, breakfast servers, concierge, performers were all just so welcoming. If I could rate this stay 6 stars, I would. We are very much looking forward to coming back for next year’s IM 70.3 race!

Amazing service and care
The service at this resort is exceptional! Keira Valdez was awesome and took great care of us all week! The spa services were also top notch with great massage and mani pedis! Good location and access to dive shop just across the street. We had a great week!
