    Relaxing, fun

    We stayed here at the Crown Paradise Golden resort in Puerta Vallarta. Tony and Allan of the entertainment team were exceptional. They had many different activities and gave the opportunity to be busy with activities on the resort or just relax for whichever vibe you are going for. You can hangout at the swim up bar, catch some rays lounging. Play some volleyball, tennis or be apart of a foam party, and dance at their haciendas. They have activities for all ages and interests.

    The service and staff was great . Everyone went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel was close to local shopping.

    Mixed Bag

    This property is definitely showing its age but is clean. There are some maintenance issues but the new manager appears to be trying to address some of these. Overall, the food was okay, however BellaVista, the buffet, is terrible. We used the family side buffet for breakfast and lunch. The reservation system is ludicrous and often crashes when the resort is operating at capacity. With the exceptions of the concierge desk and security team, service was exceptional. The Golden offers good value for the money paid but there are a number of issues that would prevent our returning - the smoking laws are not enforced nor are the hotel's own rules regarding smoking in the rooms and on the balconies. - guests from the sister family resort were allowed access to the SkyPool based on nationality - rooms in the beachfront tower had no working telephones so there was no way to contact the front desk or concierge team if there were issues through the night - none of the security personnel spoke any English and they were unhelpful even with the use of a translation app
