  Absolutely beautiful resort with what must be the best beach on the island. We have stayed at this resort and the sister resorts many times over the years so were really looking forward to this trip as we knew of the new renovations. We travelled as a group of 4 and were given 2 of the best rooms imo available…they were stunning as was the beach front view. The reception staff brilliant 5* always greeted with a smile and happy to help. Coffee shop staff 5* again always greeted with a smile and a chat. Maid Service 5* rooms made up every day and were spotless. Water Sports staff 5* excellent ..good fun and it’s brilliant that these facilities are included in your stay. Now for the disappointing parts of our stay: Food I must say was poor …we are out 12 of 14 because of this. Service in restaurants poor …very hit and miss …some members of staff simply didn’t want to be there, or serve you. Bar service/pool service…non existent…no clearing of tables no taking drinks orders …it was so bad we actually brought the matter up with the manager. The hotel has such potential but it’s a shame as the service is a real deal breaker, the service at the other sister hotels is top tier and is what keeps people returning. Some recommendations I think would make a big difference: The beach bar should be the hub for the entertainment of an evening after dinner, it also should be used as a sundowner cocktail bar as the setting is absolutely beautiful. Entertainment should take place after dinner not when people are eating. As I’m sure the entertainment staff would feel more appreciated instead of singing to an empty space. We made the best of our time here and will always return to Barbados but probably not to this hotel unless there are changes made which is a real shame as it has the potential to be one of the best hotels on the island.

  Delightful Crystal Cove

  Recently stayed at Waves which is owned by Marriott group also. As part of the dine around we visited Crystal cove for lunch. What a delightful Resort. Lovely beach which has a good walk to it . Lunch was excellent. It was extremely quiet in early October but the staff were so welcoming and the different colours of the buildings gave it a proper Carribean feel. 100 per cent would I recommend and will definitely stay here next time in Barbados. Great pools also . Interesting good vibes. Can only get better with a little more occupancy later in the season

  Best beach on the coast!

  Positives We went on holiday to celebrate our engagement and they made a real fuss of us which we appreciated! The hotel itself is really special - colourful & unique, with beautiful gardens and of course the best beach on the coast! This is really the biggest draw to the hotel, we saw so much marine life everyday, even seeing a turtle right outside the hotel. The rooms were great and kept clean throughout our stay. It’s a lovely touch having the option of the water taxi to go and explore the other hotels if you fancy a change. Overall we thought the food was good at our hotel so would have just preferred more variety (see below) Considerations The food options could be abit hit and miss, for example the Hightide restaurant was our favourite but wasn’t open enough through our stay, and for 4 days the main restaurant used the ‘pool bar’ menu which we felt was abit lazy. Sometimes we found there was miscommunication between staff and inconsistencies with what was on the weeks agenda to then what was available The pigeons need to be controlled more in the main restaurant as it feels unhygienic having those so close to food We did go in low season but we felt the entertainment through the day and evenings could be improved as there wasn’t much atmosphere in the evenings because of this. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel, just a few tweaks would make it perfect!

  Amazing holiday, thank you Crystal Cove!

  This was our 6th stay at Crystal Cove and the first since the refurbishment. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were back at home. All the staff were amazing and went out of their way to make us feel special. The food, although only one restaurant open each day, was great. I am quite a fussy eater but there was always something that I enjoyed. The beach is amazing and great snorkeling right from the beach. Our room was perfect with fab views of the sea, snacks, drinks and even a bottle of fizz on arrival. Our only regret is that we didnt book longer! We will be back :)

  A bit disappointed for our expectations for our family

  This property has just been renovated it looks great but the basic service and food is not great pool service for drinks and food non existent for a hotel of this standard this place could be so much better as it offers dine around service which sounds great but when you try to book anywhere good luck as we went to the tamarind and it was embarrassing they just didn’t want to serve our family of 7 people so overall we will not be rushing back
