  Professional, Welcoming Staff for Great Relaxation and Romance

  From the moment we arrived the staff was attentive and highly professional. We especially appreciated Meghan, who checked us in and out, and Cesar, who always gave us great, warm poolside service. The dining featured fresh and local foods. Great attention to cleanliness and thoughtful preparation. The “quiet pool” option was perfect for us and we loved our room. The week rekindled the romance in our marriage. Overall an extremely relaxing vacation. Still smiling.

  The best vacation with the most amazing staff and guests!

  This review is a very long overdue, as we have been to Desire RM now 7 times since 2023.  To start, this is the only resort where I truly feel on vacation.  It is the right balance of energy, fun, and relaxation.  I travel a lot for work and visit many resorts in this destination, and the vibe and amazing staff are what set this resort apart.  They make you feel like family.  There have been so many great and memorable staff members through our 3 years, but the ones that are always shining bright in our eyes we will list below.   To start, we stayed at Eden this visit (and ever since it was opened.)  The rooms are fantastic and the pool views are my favorite.  We hardly use the room amenities, but we like the proximity to everything and the nicer rooms.  We miss the inclusions that they used to come with (tequila cream, etc.)  We do wish that booking in Eden would at least come with the ability to make dinner reservations and/or have pool chair access earlier than 10:30am.          First,  Africa, Eduardo, and Jussif from the pool bar services take such wonderful care of us at the Eden pool.  Edmundo has WOWED us from our very first visit when he would run after us with our espresso in the afternoon before we even asked.   More recently, he would greet us at the hot tub at night with our drink already prepared.  I have not had this level of anticipatory service at any other Cancun/Riviera Maya resort, even the St. Regis.  Edmundo is a gem!  And then starting from last year, there is now the AMAZING Jenny at Jenny's bar.  She has transformed the beach bar into a daily must visit during our stay.  Her gentle spirit comes through with the care she takes in making the perfect cocktail...like the best bloody mary's!  We look forward to seeing her every day.   Other team members who feel like family include LeFranc.  We don't always get assigned to him as our butler, but we check in with him every time because he is such a kind soul.  Even if not assigned as our butler, he is always willing to assist us to make our stay even better.  Daniel the pool/towel attendant is always friendly and helpful.  Jorge from Suki and late night lobby snackbar has really blossomed into his roles.  He is adorable and goes out of his way to serve us in both places.  Luis from the spa will always make me laugh.  And last but not least, Ricardo Flores the bar service manager has been a great addition.  We love what he is doing to make fun and unique special events and collaborations with liquor brands.  He is always present to make sure things are running well, including at private parties in the diamond suite.  We love seeing him and hearing about the future plans and ideas that he has.   And how could I forget the playmakers.  Now....not going to lie.  WE MISS ILSE AND KEVIN very much, as well as Babi!  However, CHIARA IS FIRE (literally and figuratively.)  She has been the best addition to the playmaker team by far.  Her classical dance training and performance artistry is evident and we love to see her integrated into the shows.  She is so down to earth and smart, but very sexy, too.  We missed Bella this visit, but really hope that by our next visit she will be back.  The playmaker team really needs 3 males and 3 females to be able to have more interactions with the guests.  They are too short staffed right now, even with Javi helping.  We hope this will be fixed soon.  Just clone Chiara 2 more times, please! Pina is still our favorite guy playmaker, but BamBam and Mauricio are opening up. Mauricio is HILARIOUS to watch at pool volleyball.     If this resort review just sounds like a staff review, it is not.  But, the staff are what make Desire RM truly special.  We were disappointed that Eros was closed for breakfast and lunch Mon-Wed, as well as the lunch grill (Burger Bar.)  That is the best food of our day.   I didn't agree that the census was low enough to close both locations.  Kahlo is always great and we have a lot of fun there with the serving staff.  (Can't remember our servers name but started with a D.)  We went for the Super Bowl party for the second year in a row.  We don't even like NFL, but the party is so fun and we enjoy sharing a VIP couch with friends.  I wish they would have more group seating options for this party.  I also liked the DJ this time much better.  The main DJ, DJ MotherF-er isn't my favorite; he doesn't read the room and frustrates me how he transitions songs.       Ok, again, this was a long overdue review.  I've been reluctant to review to be "outed."  But I don't care anymore,  This place isn't all about pineapple fun, and thinking that misses the point.  It is a special place where the staff and guests you meet end up feeling like family.  We can tell that some changes are happening, so we really hope that the special DNA of Desire RM will not change.  And we need every single person mentioned here to remain at the resort for a long long time!!!!   PS) We are not Premier members and never will be.  Therefore, we do have way more hoops to jump through and are treated as 2nd class (by the policies, not the staff.)  We understand that this is the way the game is played and they do make it more uncomfortable to not be Premier.  However, because the staff are so amazing and we are low maintenance, it's totally fine with us.  And we always seem to make friends in high places that help out us 2nd class citizens.

  Best vacation ever and we have traveled the World.

  The entertainment was excellent, never a dull moment! Food was great with many options to choose from. Service level from the Bartenders and Butler’s is exceptional. Africa is an amazing server and Edwardo never forgets your name or drink. Top notch customer service! Bella is an absolute genius when it comes to entertaining and engaging the crowd. She even sees her guests off at departure time and certainly encourages a return visit. The maids and cleaning crew are 5 star. We will return and have sent several friends to see the very best Mexico has to offer.

  Best Couples Resort in Mexico!

  My experience at Desire this January was lovely to say the least. The location is beautiful, with a great beach area to lounge around. The atmosphere is fun, the culture of Desire fits my speed of entertainment. The rooms are nice, even though I spent most of my time in the pool and jacuzzi. This resort is worth the value. The resort is very clean, shout out to all the housekeepers. They are amazingly fast at cleaning the room,s and the grounds are very clean. Staff clean all day long, even the common areas like the pool and jacuzzi are always clean. There are always fresh towels, and the public bathrooms are always clean. No problems about noise either. I also want to thank the playmakers who work very hard to entertain all the guests. Bam Bam, Bella, Chiara, Pina(Colada), and Maurico set the mood for the day. I love that the playmakers interact with the guests by playing volleyball and play pool side games with the guests. It's definitely the event of the day to look forward to every day of your stay. The spa staff is amazing as well, especially Jesu, who has A1 customer service. All of the chefs and waiters are also amazing. I would like to specially thank Julio at Flirty, the pool grill. He is always courteous and a mastermind at getting orders out fast, and the food is always made with love. I also like to specially thank Jesus from Suki, he's one of the best Teppanyaki chefs Suki has. very entertaining with makes the dinner show so much fun. The night shows are great, also shout out to the entertainers and playmakers again, who start the dance party on the dance floor. Best playmakers in Mexico! Desire has the best staff, shout out to the very talented bartenders. I think the bartenders can make any drink there is; they pour those spirits all day and all night, literally. Overall, Desire RM is the best place for couples, sexy dress-up, parties, and all-around fun! Definitely will be returning!

  Overall we had a blast, maybe we will go back!

  My fiancée and I have been to Hedonism II many many times and temptations once. We really wanted to try Desires. the good: food is excellent DJs are good Entertainment crew (Mauricio!) is great and I LOVED the aqua pole fitness I did a photoshoot and LOVED it!!!!!! rooftop jacuzzi was great Awesome margaritas the bad: no beach (its a trip of sand due to erosion, no one goes there no snorkeling There was no diversity of body types and I felt out of place not having had plastic surgery. I have no idea that this is the norm and I do not want to comment on other people's bodies but this was not the vibe I wanted. my room was not as nice as a Motel 6 The people are not as chill and friendly as hedo The gift shop is so expensive. Hedo has affordable things for souvenirs. We bought a baseball cap, $60 USD. It seemed like the price of everything assumed you had $200 USD free for doing the presentation so it was marked up. I would go back but absolutely prefer hedo My biggest concerns going there was that I would be harassed for a membership presentation or have to tip everywhere. None of these were true and in fact we checked in late and no one ever offered us the presentation! Also SUNWING SUCKS It took us 4 hours to get to the resort even though there was no delay at customs. This was due to transport. I could not get a taxi as they are run by the mafia, first they want $150 then $300 then I am sure there is a shakedown when they drop you off so you have to wait hours for SUNWING Nexxus tours. They make you line up in the sun for hours, No food, water, shade or chairs. Prices are also set by the Mafia if you want to buy a drink it is outrageously priced. Cancun seems to be a hellhole outside of the resorts. Also on the way back the airport had water issues and few running toilets so I booked the premium lounge. They also closed their washrooms so I paid full price and had to use the dirty airport bathrooms. The food was 1 *. I complained and they would not even offer me a discount
