  Perfect as always

  I had a wonderful stay overall. Every time I come here, I’m made to feel genuinely welcome, and this visit was no exception. The staff is very friendly and truly makes you feel at home. My favorite part is always the playmakers and the activities they organize, which really bring the experience to life. I’m very happy that George (Bambam) and Javier are still part of the team. This year, many of the playmakers were new and sadly none of the new ones really took the time to get to know the guests. However, the girl Bella has an incredible energy—it’s impossible not to notice her. I believe that the last playmakers should train the new ones. Some of them lack that sensual touch. It’s important to understand the difference between Desire with this concept and a family entertaintment hotel. If I wanted to watch someone dance like a 10-year-old, I’d go to my child’s school—and probably hear better jokes in English as well. I’d also like to give a special mention to África, Jenny from the beach bar, Daylan, Axel, Danny, and many other members of the staff. See you soon!!

  What a shame

  My husband and I just checked in for 5 nights stay in this resort. We came last year at the same time for the same length. The resort has dropped drastically in quality, within hours of checking in and going to our room, we encountered huge problems, AC was broken in our first allocated room and this was in the newly built Eden complex, technician didn’t have a clue how to repair it, so we had to change room, we had to beg our so called butler! to book us a restaurant for the first evening . Restaurant look like they are unavailable, half of them closed just before the Xmas festivities, when their occupancy is 95% !!!their luxurious all inclusive has no more sense. We finally managed to book the first night in Eros, one of the restaurants we experienced last year and where the food was delicious, this year the quality has dropped, my husband had to return his steak, which was worse than rubber when he asked for it to be rare. For the next few days we don’t even know if we could get into any of the restaurants or have any food with any quality at all. The whole resort is now geared to maximise profit with a decreasing quality. We will fulfil our stay as we have pre paid a considerable sum of money for it, but we will never come back. Believe me you will find a better deal and much more value going in Hedonism ll in Negril, Jamaica, or any similar resort elsewhere.

  7th trip and we still love it!

  This was our 7th visit to Desire; we said we wouldn't return as we were too old, but we did and didn't regret it! We spent a week in December in this fabulous resort. We were keen to see the new Eden area, and although it was really lovely, we still prefer the original area and style of buildings. We had a fantastic week playing vollyball, swimming in the sea, sailing , eating, drinking and having fun. The weather was perfect. We ate in all the restaurants and enjoyed Sahlo and Suki the best. The food in all restaurants was fantastic (as usual), and the service was as usual outstanding. Special shouts outs and thanks go to; All the Playmakers, but especially to Chiara, Mauricio and Bella, who were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. Meli was new during our week and was really nice, we're sure she'll make a fantastic addition to the team! We were also very impressed with Daylan (morning bar in Eden), Jenny -(beach bar), Axel - (old swim up bar). Judith (waitress in Eros) who was so friendly and smiley, Super Mario in Suki was great and Roberto looked after us at breakfast and lunch really well! Joel (new swim up bar) remembered us from 2 years ago and welcomed us back like old friends, which was lovely. Leo was also really friendly and helpful on the beach when we went sailing or played Vollyball. Thank you to all the staff for making the stay so enjoyable! We enjoyed the whole week, but did find the music during the evening (pre-show and during the show) too loud - we couldn't chat with people, which was a shame. The entertainment was fantastic, but a shame we couldn't really hear the saxophonist or cellist due to the overloud background beat. Other than that, all else was great!

  Loud and slow

  I delayed writing this review because I hate saying anything negative about a place that we have enjoyed for over 10 years. The staff was great as always and the guests were all outgoing and friendly, which is what we expect given the concept of the resort. However, the service at the restaurants on the Eden side was extremely slow. This was a problem when Eden first opened and it has not improved. The music in the Disco was too loud to stay in for more than a few songs. This was not an issue 8 to 10 years ago but has been a continuous problem since then. Many, if not most, of the guests agree but management does not seem to care. I don't know why they think the music has to be loud in order for everybody to be having a good time. In any event, we have givin up planning on going to Disco. What was more disturbing is that the music was too loud for the shows, especially the Latin night. This is a resort where we want to mingle, but it is difficult when you have to yell to each other. One of the other guests measured the decibels and found them to be well above a healthy level. While we enjoyed our trip and will continue to go we cannot recommend the resort at this time.

  Another fantastic trip!

  Another vacation in the books at our home away from home. My husband and I were talking this morning about other resorts we have travelled to throughout the years and how DRM is the only one where every single employee we encounter is friendly. People from all over the world go to DRM to enjoy a one of a kind experience. Whether you are a lifestyler, nudist, or just a couple who want to party with some amazing people, there is something at DRM for you. Consistency is a word that comes to mind as I write this. Our experience is always consistently good-from the food, the room and the spa, to the entertainment and all of the amazing staff who make us feel special from the second we walk through the doors. Of course I need to take the time to mention the employees who gonna above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Africka is always going to make sure you have everything you need poolside. Hands down the best waitress you will find at DRM. Butlers Ericka, Mike, G, Jorge, Daniel, Yiyi, and Lefranc will go out of their way to make sure you get your dinner reservations and everything you need to make your vacation great. They are very attentive and you can tell they take pride in making sure you’re happy during your stay. Ivan our waiter at Suki is someone I request every time we eat there because the level of service you receive from him is 2nd to none. Danny is special. He can help you get your cabana or chair poolside and he always has a smile on his face. We always look forward to seeing Danny year after year. Javi is doing an amazing job with the entertainment and he’ll always be my favorite playmaker. Always making sure the crowd is having a great time and he’s so engaged with the guests. Asher always makes sure check-in is a breeze and Lina went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of this trip. Aza in memberships helps us with all things concerning membership. The staff at DRM are special and they feel more like family than just employees at a resort. They are what sets this resort apart from others. Without these amazing people it’s just another resort. We choose to stay there multiple times a year because of the staff.
