  Great fun!

Candice worked her tail off! She had the poker table open on a rainy day and pool volleyball with her was very fun! You an really tell she enjoys her job. The pool was a fun time. Music was tasteful. Hot tub and nightclub were also an amazing time.

Clothing Optional Should Still Feel Clothing Optional

We’ve noticed over the years that the clothing optional atmosphere at Desire Riviera Maya seems to be changing, with more guests choosing to remain in bathing suits. When we were there in May, there were a couple of afternoons at around 4 o’clock when we and just one other couple were the only people naked in the hot tub. It was similar around the main pool, with only a couple of people naked while the majority were wearing bathing suits. At a resort we specifically choose because we enjoy being nude, it can actually make you feel uncomfortable and out of place for being naked. We completely respect that some guests prefer to wear bathing suits. But there should also be an option for guests who come to Desire specifically because they enjoy being naked. Riviera Maya already has the Quiet Pool and the old hot tub area, so why not make that a dedicated nude area? It would give nude guests somewhere to go where they can relax and feel completely comfortable, while everyone else can continue enjoying the main pool however they prefer. Desire Pearl still seems to have a much stronger nude atmosphere, with most guests choosing to be naked, and for now that is where we will be heading. We love the Desire concept, but we don’t want to see the clothing optional theme being taken advantage of to the point where almost everyone is wearing a bathing suit and the people who are naked start to feel uncomfortable. There are plenty of adult resorts for people who prefer bathing suits, but very few places for those of us who genuinely enjoy being nude. We believe Desire should protect that experience while still giving everyone an option where they can feel comfortable.

  Still the Desire we ❤️

Spent a couple of weeks at Desire Riviera Maya across July & August. Had been reading a lot of negative chatter online but for us personally, we enjoyed it just as much as ever. Yes the occupancy seems to be dipping more than it used to in the early part of the week, but the whole Cancun area is experiencing lower tourists. The beach, although the sargassum amount changes massively due to the tides etc, looked really good for a lot of our trip. The staff are just as awesome as ever, from the team in the Lobby (Meghan, Litzy, Elizabeth) to the management of Martha & Pamela (always so kind & helpful for any little problem), the bar staff, the playmakers, cleaners, DJs, everyone was so kind & helpful. Nestor, a new waiter in the buffet was superb. Hiromi, Axel, Samary, Yirla, Isaura, Domi, Eunice, Yazmin were all standouts. The DJs really stepped up again, DJ Mauro was incredible, also DJ Leo - both read the room in the nightclub and kept the dance floor going even as it emptied out later on. We already have 3 more trips booked in our calendar over the next 12 months to return to our favorite fun resort.

Amazing Time at Desire Riviera Maya

Stayed at Desire Riviera Maya for 4 days 3 nights and had an amazing experience. We arrived on a Wednesday in which the property was at about 60% occupancy definitely filled up towards the weekend. The pool games and sexy shows were steamy, exotic fun in the sun and night. The service at the restaurants and bars was excellent. The food at Kahlo, the Mexican restaurant, was so delicious. The playmakers were exceptional, especially Chocolate, Piña, Bella, BamBam and Caudice, who interacted with us and guaranteed an awesome time. The theme nights, nightclub, and of course the jacuzzi is a can't miss at this place.
