A good moderate Disney hotel - the location is the highlight.
A good moderate Disney hotel - the location is the highlight. Stayed 7 days. Paid $250 a night. Overall, we had a positive experience and found the hotel to be a high-quality property with an excellent location. The transport connections are particularly good, buses to the parks run every 15mins or so which makes navigating Disney a breeze. A large free car park makes it an easy base to park up and also explore the local area without relying on taxis. The hotel itself offers a good standard of facilities and has many of the features you would expect from a substantial, well-established property - the lake, the pools, the lobby all great. There is a sense of quality throughout. The bars were sensibly priced, by Disney standards at least as was the quick service restaurant. That said, there are a few areas where the experience could be improved. The staff were pretty consistently unwelcoming, which was somewhat at odds with the otherwise high standard of the hotel. Our rooms were not ready until 2hrs after check-in and we were not even offered a bottle of water. Just a shrug and a comment - "Well we are busy". Housekeeping was also disappointing - every other day - with the level of attention to detail falling well short of what you would expect from a property of this calibre. The floors were filthy and were not cleaned at all during our stay. It is important to note the hotel is extremely large, which is both a strength and a weakness. While the scale means there are plenty of facilities and amenities, getting around can be surprisingly time-consuming and confusing. Depending on your room location, we were in Casitas 4 , simply finding your way to the lobby, restaurants or other facilities can feel like a journey in itself. Allow 15 mins to get anywhere. If you are disabled, you absolutely WILL need a scooter if you are staying anywhere but the tower. Despite these drawbacks, we enjoyed our stay overall. The excellent location, superb transport links and high-quality facilities make this a hotel worth considering. It's priced well and clearly targets large conventions in the main as well as value conscious park guests that don't want to be fleeced or rammed into a value property. The emphasis on business guests is noticeable in the team, with a standoffish non-Disney vibe. With more consistent service, improved housekeeping and better navigation around such a large property ( a free shuttle buggy perhaps), the guest experience could be considerably stronger.

original listed price is expensive, but if they upgrade you to it, then not bad to try
the room looks clean, the original listed price is expensive, but if you booked the cheapest Disney resort and they upgrade you to that, it may be a good try. Although there is pool or smore activity near the pool, but it always canceled due to the weather, and the pool was also closed due to the weather, so poor. But the good point of living in Disney resort is that you gain early entry to the parks , also free parking.

Disappointing
Just arrived and pretty disappointing so far… poor welcome, no one to show us where room was so we walked around looking for ages, no shuttle service in sight… let’s see how the next two weeks go 🙏

Not the one that looks like the California Hotel del Coronado, that's the Grand Floridian
The Villages area looks like the fanciest La Quinta you've ever seen, and the Gran Destino Tower looks sort of like a Vegas casino designed by Salvador Dalí. The Dig Site pool with its faux-Mayan pyramid was the highlight of this resort, as my daughter loves an epic pool. The rooftop restaurants, Dahlia and Toledo, really make this 'moderate' resort feel almost Deluxe. Also, the Barcelona Lounge is how Starbucks would be if it were in Spain and could serve liquor and upscale pastries. It's a bus-only resort—no fancy monorails, Skyliners, etc.—which we didn't care about because we sleep late on vacation and never rush around with a checklist trying to do everything.

Fantastic Stay
We had a fantastic two week stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs. Our room was very clean and spacious. We were staying in Ranchos which was a 2 minute walk away from bus stop 3 which made getting to the parks so easy. I honestly couldn’t fault this hotel. We have been to Disney many times but Coronado might just now top my list and I hope to be back in the future.
