Wonderful Club Level Stay at the Poly! Perfect 10 days.
We stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in July 2025 for 10 nights, and it was an incredible experience for our family of four (two girls, ages 11 and 14). We felt very fortunate to be able to stay Club Level, and what truly made the trip exceptional were the cast members—especially those in the Hawaii building. From housekeeping, to the concierge desk, to the Club Level lounge hosts, everyone treated us with genuine kindness and care, making us feel like family. Their pride in their work and attention to detail created an unforgettable stay. Our room was spacious, well-kept, and always fresh thanks to outstanding housekeeping. The quality of the beds and linens was excellent—luxurious, comfortable, and noticeable the moment we entered the room, ensuring consistently restful sleep. The bathroom setup also worked very well for a family of four, making it easy for everyone to get ready each morning without feeling cramped. Disney’s attention to detail in room design, upkeep, and comfort was clear, and we greatly appreciated it. Transportation was another highlight: between the monorail, boats, and the quick walk to the TTC, we could often be in Magic Kingdom within 10 minutes—amazing! Even the bus service to Hollywood Studios and the water parks worked seamlessly. The convenience of this location simply can’t be beat. The Club Level food and beverage offerings exceeded our expectations compared to our last stay. Each morning and evening, the rotating selections felt fresh and varied, with chefs plating small plates Aitems for guests—a nice touch. Snack time in the afternoon was a lifesaver after hot park days, with fruit, vegetables, mixed nuts, chips, sweet treats, and the most addictive homemade chips. One suggestion: each night they offered mac and cheese for the kids. For kids, such as ours, with dairy sensitivities, it would be wonderful to consistently add a simple option like chicken strips. That small addition would make the offerings even more family-friendly. Resort amenities were excellent. The pool area had plenty of chairs, and our girls enjoyed the crafts and activities offered throughout the day (most were available for a small fee, usually $8–15). The theming throughout the resort was beautiful—the tiki torches, the music, the beach with its perfect view of fireworks, and the Disney PhotoPass photographers around the grounds all added to the magic. Every detail felt intentional and special. Since our last visit, the new DVC Island Tower had opened. We were initially concerned that the added guests might overwhelm the resort, but overall, it did not detract from our experience. The one area that felt crowded was Captain Cook’s quick-service restaurant, which often had long lines and little seating. A Coca-Cola Freestyle machine at the Volcano Pool (similar to the one at the new Island pool) could reduce congestion inside Captain Cook’s. Adding a food truck option somewhere on property might also help ease crowds and give families more flexibility. At the end of the day, what sets the Polynesian apart is not only the convenience, beauty, and theming, but the people. The Club Level cast members didn’t just make my husband and me feel like valued guests—they got to know our daughters, remembered their favorites, and went out of their way to make sure they were having a wonderful time, too. That genuine care and connection made all the difference.

They say never meet your heroes
Since the late 80s (when I was 14) when I first stepped off the monorail and into the Great Ceremonial House at Poly I have wanted to stay at this resort. Its the location, theming, smell etc etc that has been on my mind every visit when staying at other hotels. We decided to stay for 8 nights as part of my daughters 21st celebrations. 5 of us in total. Before I break the stay down, I can honestly say - I have never been more disappointed. The service, the food options, the resort were all below standard. They say never meet your heroes, I wish I hadn't met mine. We will return to Yacht and Beach next trip. Check-in - The Great Ceremonial House feels like a busy airport check-in area. People running round because they're late for their Ohana slot and can't find the stairs! After waiting for what felt like forever we were all good and headed to Fiji. Room - We overlooked the new pool and the recently completed Island Tower. Being on floor 2 these rooms don't have a balcony or patio. The rooms are a great size, big enough for 5 and plenty of drawer and hanging space. The shower is in the sink room which slows the mornings down as you have to walk through to get to the toilet - not an issue. My wife went to check with reception to see if it was possible to move to a balcony or patio room - It was, great. Come back she was told for the room info. She went back 10 mins later to be told that if we wanted to move we now had to wait a day...We had no desire to unpack, repack so settled in instead!! The doors to Fiji were usually open and not locked - Not great considering the number of non-resort guests wandering around. The halls always had cleaners carts and dirty laundry carts in, no matter what time of day. Not what I expect when paying as much as you do here. Captain Cooks - Terrible. Far too small for the size of resort and the throughput of people visiting the resort to have a look around. Usually had one till open and the service is painfully slow. You order, someone plates your food, someone else puts it in a bag and carries it to a shelf, they then shout you to tell you your order is on the shelf...Bizarre. The Pizza bread and (surprise Chicken) was the best things on the menu. Ohana - We had an 8.30am booking and was taken to our table (the restaurant was half empty at this point). The table was an end section next to the closed bar so we asked to sit near the window (where there was 4 empty tables). No problem said the man. However the waitress didn't like this and switched from being all nice and giving the spiel about the juice to throwing a mini strop. Fortunately by changing tables we also changes servers. Always good interaction with characters and always too much food. Pro tip - Don't fill up on the bread. Pool - WE used the Cove pool mainly as it was steps from our room. It's zero entry up to c 4ft and it's close to the coke freestyle machine that also has filtered water. It's brilliant, the seating is great and it was always quiet. You can stay in the pool and watch the MK fireworks which saves you having to wrestle for space on the beach from the day trippers! Help - We had a flat tire when leaving the carpark one day. After we made it back and parked up we asked concierge for local numbers (zero help), we asked reception for local numbers (less than zero helps), we asked security (suggested Car Care) - I've never known a hotel at this level not have local contacts, support or at least try to be helpful. We eventually called a mobile tire guy who came out to fix the tire...Security wouldn't let him onsite - - - one argument later and they agreed to escort him onsite, then stayed and watched him fix the tire and escorted him off. I'm all for security but that doesn't run through the resort and we did wonder what the motives were. Security - If you are heading to MK or Epcot you are better going through monorail security rather than walking to Transport. It's much quicker and more pleasant. Overall - Disappointing. It feels too busy. There's too many people in the hotel that aren't staying there. People try to get into the pools without keys, the beach goers for the fireworks block the walkways, the food outlets are a nightmare at times - So much so that we got the monorail to Contemporary one night as it was quicker and a better selection! The cast members we interacted with gave surface level smiles but if you scratch the surface theres not great quality underneath. I did speak to one lady on reception who has more than 20 years service - She was fantastic and really helpful. Sadly she's the exception and not the rule.

Family trip
Just arrived home from staying at this resort for 14 nights, the hotel is beautiful literally feels like your in hawaii with all the tropical plants at the entrance and around the pools. The interior is stunning and really matches the theme. The staff are very friendly all across the resort and the hotel itself is spotlessly clean including the pools. The room is beautiful and spacious with a large ensuite bathroom. The room was cleaned everyday and provided with fresh towels. We made use of all 3 pools and hot tubs which were quiet in the evening. We ate at the main restaurant and snack bar which was both really nice with good quality food. The only negative was the noise in the rooms as we could hear stomping all through the night which was enough to keep us all awake even the heavy sleepers! On one night i got no sleep at all because of noise from other guests in the room above us which isn’t ideal when you’re busy everyday walking in the parks.

Go to the beach club instead
Would never stay here again. Really looked forward to this but the resort is so busy. Looks like adding the tower building the facilities are lacking. Pool always busy, capt cook had no seats, foyer very busy and we had to ask to be moved as we were located next to the service yard. When we arrived bell boys didn't offer any assistance with bags, complained but didn't get anything back. Really disappointed - will stick to the Beach club

If this hotel were anywhere except Disney, it would be empty, or $99/night
not much to recommend this hotel, other than that is is linked to the Disney parks. First, they screwed up our reservation and we lost our connecting rooms. That is a major issue when you have numerous small children! The food is OK in the better restaurants, but overall, it's like a Waffle House. The rooms are old with thin walls. The material choices suggest that they expect heavy abuse. That is reasonable, but then why does the local Hyatt not need vinyl flooring?? The check-out was a disaster too. We booked a themed breakfast with disney, and realized that we would be very close to our checkout time. We asked for some leeway, and they flatly refused. Not expected on a $30,000 vacation. Truth: if not for the tie-in to Disney, no one would stay here
