  Beautiful Resort, but Massive

  I stayed in a studio in the Paddock section. The room itself was beautiful and standard for this type of room at Walt Disney World. The view from my balcony was wonderful at night. I was right next to the pool, which was nice as the laundry facilities are located there. I love the close proximity to Disney Springs, but did utilize the internal bus system to ride to a closer section to finish walking there. The main downside to this resort is how massive it is, much like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. You really do need to use the interval bus system to get around depending on where your room is located. Overall, I did enjoy my stay there and would stay here again.

  A lovely return vacation

  This was our 3rd stay at Disney Saratoga Springs and we absolutely loved it. Housekeeping were excellent and were extremely helpful and courteous. All other staff members we encountered both in the Artists Palette, gift shop and Front desk were all very welcoming and polite. Having read some negative reviews that have been posted by visitors staying the same month as us I can confirm that this was not our experience. It is a large resort however this is particularly clear if you read up about it prior to your stay. As a family we feel that the size of the resort provides some degree of privacy and exclusivity which cannot be said of the likes of Yacht and Beach resort which is a more public resort. We absolutely love this resort and plan to return again, hopefully to the Paddocks, in September 2027. Particularly thanks to Christopher on Front Desk - very helpful

  First time at SSR Springs Building

  We’re DVC and this was our first time at this location. I was a bit surprised at a few things, one there’s no lobby to walk through to get to your room. Everything’s separate and the lobby is in its own building away from everything. This presents logistical challenges if you’re not prepared for that. The 1BR was great, very beautiful inside. Everything looked brand new. The coffee maker was excellent, it was a newer style Keurig that also had a section to make a full pot of coffee. They even had an iced button. Kitchen was ultra modern and had everything you could need. The living area was great with 2 pull down convertible Murphy beds. The washer and dryer worked well. The bathroom situation was different than what were used to at AKL and Poly. There is only one shower bathroom separated by toilet room. So getting ready separately can be challenging. They did have a huge tub in the other bathroom and a giant closet, I wish the closet was a toilet room it seemed like wasted space. The foyer was excellent place to store the stroller and all our hats, and items to take to the park daily without cluttering the main living area. The dining table was very comfortable. The main bedroom was a nice size. The onsite restaurant in the main building was great, they also had a wide variety of merchandise and packaged food and beverages along with wine etc. I would 100% stay here again, the staff was excellent very clean, and the value of my points went a very long way. I liked the building we were in as well, it was called the Springs it was in-between the pool and main building.

  Beautiful resort but too big for me

  This was tricky for me to review because I only stayed 1 night prior to a Disney cruise. Stayed using dvc points in a 1 bed villa at the Springs area by the main building and pool. The room itself was great, spacious with a beautiful design. My only real problem with the resort is it's size, it's an enormous resort with an internal bus route so even just leaving the resort takes a lot of time which is why I would probably avoid the resort if you like a smaller one where you can walk around easily and transport doesn't take too long.

  Not the usual Disney standard

  This was my second stay here. We last came about ten years ago staying in a two bed villa. This time we rented DVC points and stayed in a studio room. The grounds and lobby are beautiful and very relaxing. It is a big resort and we were in a top floor room in the Grandstand area which is the first bus pick up so you always get a seat. It then spends 5 mins driving around the resort picking everyone else up. You’re also first off and it’s a 3 min walk to the lobby so it’s a good location to request. The walk to Disney springs takes about 10-15 mins depending on your section. The room its self was nice but nothing really delux stood out to me. On arrival the floor was wet. We thought they’ve maybe just mopped it but it wasn’t drying. We had to turn the aircon right up to dry it and if we turned it down to a more comfortable temperature or opened the balcony door it became wet again. We reported it and it was mostly sorted out the next morning, it felt like they’d added some waxy solution to the floor afterwards. The room also smelt a bit musty. The shower also didn’t work properly and was coming out of the bath taps and shower head at the same time. Again this was fixed quickly. The beds were very comfortable and we had no noise from the other rooms. There was a decent coffee machine but I had to constantly ask for more coffee and some washing up liquid and cloth was supplied and there was a fridge and microwave. For a delux resort I’d rather have two sink basins than one and that would have been better than the overly large cupboard by the sink instead. We stayed a week and the sheets and room were not changed or cleaned once. For DVC customers it’s meant to be every five days. The rubbish bin was emptied regularly though. The swimming pools were nice around the resort and I used the free washing machine and dryers one night which was handy and a wash takes about half hour. The food court is probably the smallest on property and we didn’t use it but I bought some milk from the shop which was handy to have. Although this is one of the cheaper delux resorts it’s really not up to the normal Disney standard. We’ve stayed at a lot of the Disney properties and Port Orleans Riverside is still my fav. If you can get it cheap with dvc points it’s worth a stay but otherwise I’d try a different Disney resort.
