The service team made all the difference to my stay, they were polite, friendly and helpful. Particularly Kaushi, who helped me navigate the most important meal of the day breakfast, from making my soy latte to explaining how to order an omlette. Over the week everytime I saw her, she had a ready smile and was ready to help!

Friendly and helpful staff.
Our room was lovely and clean when we entered. However our request for express check in was not granted and we waited 2.5 hours in the lobby. Service at breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Kaushi who was like a ray of sunshine with her big smile and " nothing is too much trouble" attitude. She made our experience particularly enjoyable.

Great Hotel Right Next to Victoria!
We had an enjoyable stay. Came over for an Indianapolis Colts football game and was shocked to find out that this hotel was being used for team cheerleaders, press, photographers and NFL people! Quite the pleasant surprise. This was a basic Doubletree. Quiet and very, very convenient to Victoria Station. If you are groggy after arriving by train or Underground, the hotel is located just outside the Platform 1 exit at Victoria Station. Very easy to find. Neighborhood has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on nearby Wilton Street. You won't go hungry. Checkin was a little bizarre. We had a routine reservation, booked through Hilton, but it seemed to take a lot of people to sort it out. No one explained why the delay, but it was eventually sorted out. Lobby is three steps down from street level. No big deal. But if you have bags, a wheelchair or stroller, just be aware. Not sure why they haven't installed a ramp. Excellent breakfast buffet. Service though was spotty. For two days we had a new waitress who really seemed to care about doing everything right. Last day of our stay she wasn't there, and the place seemed grossly understaffed. Hotel doesn't seem to have bathtubs anymore, as is the trend around the world. And as part of cost-cutting, or maybe a service oversight, this hotel won't provide guests with washcloths or individual soap bars. Also gone from the room is an alarm clock and a pen and paper for notes. Only serious complaint was the use of a glass door in the bathroom. I have no idea who thought this was a good idea. Glass doors don't seal correctly and let light out in the dark. It's an awful trend in hotel room design. Shame on hotel operators for allowing it to be installed in the first place and shame on those involved in the design process for not pushing back. Guests absolutely hate glass doors and barndoors to the bathroom.

Nice hotel in convenient location
Beautiful room on the 9th floor. Very comfortable bed and spacious work area. Not much to see out the window but I'm not here for the view. Food in restaurant was decent too. Conveniently located across from Victoria station.
