  A Perfect 10/10 Family Vacation Driven by Exceptional People

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dreams La Romana: A Resort That Turns Guests Into Family Our stay at Dreams La Romana exceeded every expectation. We traveled as two families, six guests in total, and one of the strongest endorsements we can give is that every single one of us left completely satisfied. From the accommodations and dining to the entertainment and service, this resort consistently delivered an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Even during a busy check-in period, management stepped in to ensure guests were assisted promptly and provided a thorough overview of the resort. That level of attention continued throughout our entire stay. The property is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly well maintained. Our room was comfortable, clean, and featured a private pool that made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything is conveniently located, with the beach, restaurants, coffee shop, and amenities just minutes away. The food and beverage experience was outstanding. The resort offers an impressive variety of dining options, from beachfront snacks and themed outdoor food stations to specialty restaurants and buffet venues. The World Café became our favorite spot, especially for breakfast. The made-to-order omelets, fresh fruits, cheeses, pastries, and rotating selections made every morning something to look forward to. Beyond the food itself, the staff made the experience special. The hostess who greeted us each morning with a warm smile and her cheerful "Good morning, follow me, good guys!" became part of our daily routine and made us feel truly at home. A truly unforgettable culinary moment was arranged by our butler, Mr. Angelo Santos, and executed by Chef Ricardo. After mentioning our desire to enjoy fresh fried red snapper, Angelo coordinated everything flawlessly. The result was a spectacular beachfront lunch by the Caribbean Sea featuring fish that had been caught only hours earlier. Chef Ricardo prepared it perfectly, and the entire presentation was exceptional. It was more than a meal; it was a personalized experience that showcased the resort's commitment to exceeding guest expectations. Speaking of Angelo Santos, he deserves special recognition. Calling him a butler hardly does justice to the role he played during our stay. He was the control tower of our vacation, managing reservations, special requests, accommodations, and countless details with professionalism and precision. He anticipated needs before they arose and consistently delivered above and beyond what we expected. The entertainment team was another highlight of our vacation. The daily activities, pool games, beach events, and evening performances created an energetic and engaging atmosphere for guests of all ages. We enjoyed Dominican dance shows, magic shows, circus performances, and more. The entire entertainment and dance team was phenomenal, bringing the vibrant culture of the Dominican Republic to life through merengue, salsa, and bachata. A special acknowledgment goes to Adriana, whose warmth, professionalism, and ability to connect with guests made a lasting impression on our families. What ultimately sets Dreams La Romana apart is not just the facilities, food, or entertainment. It is the people. Every employee we interacted with demonstrated genuine hospitality, professionalism, and a sincere desire to make our stay memorable. We never felt like room numbers or just another set of guests. We felt welcomed, appreciated, and cared for. Dreams La Romana is more than a resort. It is a place where exceptional service, Dominican warmth, and attention to detail come together to create unforgettable memories. To Mr. Angelo Santos, Chef Ricardo, Adriana, the World Café team, the entertainment staff, and everyone who contributed to our stay: thank you. We arrived with high expectations.   When Dreams become the stuff of nightmares

  We booked a 2-week family holiday to Dreams Dominicus La Romana (01/08-15/08) through Loveholidays, paying a total of £10,000 for a luxury 5-star experience. On day 4 of our holiday, 3 out of 4 of our family members contracted a severe gastric illness. We initially assumed it to be "travellers diarrhoea" so treated symptoms conservatively. I have visited the DR a total of 14 times (including Dreams Royal Beach PC), so am very aware of how to navigate buffets etc safely. We were militant with using bottled water for everything and avoided salad bars etc. After 4 days and no improvement to symptoms, It was apparent that our condition was more severe. Since our arrival to the resort we had multiple bottles of unsealed mineral water which the staff had explained was due to extreme changes of temperature during storage. As a Registered Nurse of 20 years, I recognised that we had contracted Giardiasis. Thanks to our phenomenal concierge Sebastian, I was able to purchase over the counter Metronidazole to treat my family's acute symptoms (severe abdominal spasms, nausea, profuse diarrhoea, and profound weakness). We did not seek medical review as I was happy with my assessment and both of our children are neurodivergent (AuDHD) so attending a foreign clinic or hospital would have caused immense sensory and psychological distress. The treatment improved our acute symptoms but we spent the remainder of our holiday confined to our room, restricted to a diet of dry toast, crackers, broth, and rice. We spoke with Adriana (Preferred Club Manager) on 2 occasions, who was extremely confrontational and combative, even accused us of bringing Giardia to the resort! Our concerns were not escalated to the hotel manager. To add insult to injury, we were offered a free 30 minute massage at the spa (via Guest Relations) or Hyatt Points (via Adriana). On our final day, we began to experience looser stool and our 9 year-old son projectile vomited 45 minutes after eating rice from the beach bar. Following our return home to the UK, NHS stool samples were taken. Our 12-year-old daughter has a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of Salmonella. Our family remain weak, nauseated, and suffering from transient lactose intolerance and altered bowel habits. We were in desperate need of this holiday and sadly we have returned more stressed and in a worse physical condition. Resort management must urgently investigate the issue with unsealed water and their food hygiene standards. Do not risk your family's health here.

  Amazing Family Stay at Dreams La Romana!

  We had an amazing stay at Dreams La Romana with our family! The property is absolutely beautiful, the location is perfect, and the customer service was exceptional—everyone truly went above and beyond. The food was great, our room was clean and comfortable, and the entire experience was wonderful. We highly recommend Dreams La Romana and would definitely return!

  A Relaxing Caribbean Escape .

  My stay at Dreams Dominicus La Romana was truly unforgettable. The highlight of our vacation was the breathtaking beach. The resort is located on a stunning stretch of the Caribbean Sea with crystal-clear turquoise water and soft white sand. Right from the beach, guests can join excursions to nearby islands, enjoy snorkeling, or try paddleboarding, making it a perfect destination for both relaxation and adventure. We also loved the beautiful design of the resort. Instead of one large hotel building, it features charming low-rise buildings that blend perfectly with the tropical surroundings and create a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, several great restaurants, and consistently attentive service. Every meal was enjoyable, and there was always something delicious to choose from. My room was spotless, spacious, and had a large balcony where we could relax. The entire resort was impeccably clean and had a calm, tranquil atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Every evening we looked forward to the entertainment. The resort offered a different professional show each night, featuring talented dancers, magicians, and amazing fire performers. The performances were exciting, well-organized, and a wonderful way to end the day. Overall, Dreams Dominicus La Romana exceeded our expectations in every way, and with its spectacular beach, beautiful grounds, excellent dining, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding entertainment, it is a place we would gladly return to.
