We enjoyed our time at Dreams in January of 2026. The beach and water is amazing. Overall the resort is good. We found the staff to be excellent and our room to be spotlessly clean. The food is acceptable. Don't expect to be amazed by the meals. Bar staff is fast and friendly but it seems like the beverages are not very strong. There are no higher end drinks on the list. I am a big fan of sipping rums, but, there were none that I would consider worth it. Also, very disappointed they did not have any Modelo. Especially Modelo Negra. Beer selection was poor.

Fantastic Week in the Huatulco Heat
My wife and I returned for the third time to the Dreams at the end of January and could not have been happier with our experience. We have been returning to this resort as we really don't feel the value, service and overall experience can be beat. The weather in Huatulco is as consistent and hot as you will find on the west coast of Mexico and the location of the Dreams on Tangolunda bay is absolutely idyllic. Food and restaurants are consistently good. I wouldn't call them great, but at the buffet we are always able to find good food to eat (even my wife who is vegetarian). The a la carte restaurants provide good menu's with a number of options and I do find the flavor and overall presentation of the food in the restaurants to be enjoyable. No complaints about drinks as we always find the drinks taste good and don't feel watered down. Service at the bars or by the pool is always top notch and servers/bartenders do a fantastic job. Special shout out to Eddie and Dino at the Lobby Bar who took amazing care of us each night. The only real issue we had during the week was with spaces around the pools. Last year things were definitely tight, but coming down around 6:30 or 7 in the morning allowed you to get a spot by the pool. This year one of us basically had to be down there by 5:30am. In the past they had loungers along the pool deck that is in the water which essentially doubled the number of available chairs. Really not sure why they went away from this and should really consider putting chairs pack onto the submerged pool decks as it would really go a long way to alleviate what is really the only actual issue at this resort. The overall crowd at this resort definitely skews a bit older, but we don't mind that as it makes for a nice quiet and relaxing vacation. People looking for a party will definitely be a bit disappointed. You could tell that a few of the groups who were there and looking to party found that they were somewhat out of their element with the overall vibe of the Dreams. Overall, we'll be coming back as this is absolutely our favorite destination and resort.

A bit overpriced, but decent stay
We went to Dreams Huatulco for the 4th time. Pros: -The staff; cant write enough about how professional the staff are here. Very attentive. -Pool service for drinks, this has greatly improved over the years. -The food was very good, specially at Himitsu, I highly recommend it. -No smoking areas away from common areas. -No loud music allowed by the pool(s). -No smoking or vaping allowed by the pool(s).* -No food allowed by the pool(s). Cons: -They need a bit more variety at the Buffet (World Cafe); The hashbrowns were always rock hard. -It would be nice to see a carvery station for Roasts, Turkey or Ham. Many times the NY steak was way underdone. -The entertainment could be improved, (more live bands) although the International night was stunning! -The Private Company that did beach yoga from 6:30 am to 7:30 am right outside our room. That was very RUDE & Inconsiderate to the guests. -The same private company that had an outside band/dinner with blaring Music that went until, 11 pm. Again, very RUDE & Inconsiderate to guests. -The saving chairs on loungers....this has gotten way out of hand, you had to "save" a chair by 5:30 am or risk not getting a spot. Personally I stay at the spot from the time I get my spot until at least 8 am, but id say at least 80% are not in their loungers until much later. -The last full day we were at the resort, 12 Americans showed up and were getting drunk in the activity pool and they were smoking vaping, loud and rude. 1 person thew up in the pool and 1 woman took her bottom bathing suit off and was waving it around her head. It was very peaceful before this group arrived, if you want to party hard- go to Cancun.

Very relaxing and fantastic services provided. We enjoyed the spa experience greatly. Also the food was wonderful.
Primi and Danny were our pool side servers and they both did an amazing job. Amazing snorkeling right off the hotel beach
