  A mixed experience 6.5/10

  Dreams Jade – A Mixed Experience (6.5/10) My girlfriend and I recently returned to Dreams Jade after enjoying our stay two years ago. This time, we decided to upgrade to the Preferred package for an additional $250 per person. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel it offered much value. Despite requesting early check-in, we waited three hours for our room. During that time, we were approached about a resort tour in exchange for a complimentary couples massage. What initially sounded appealing became a little too much like a timeshare presentation, so we politely declined. The biggest disappointment was the beach. The seaweed, unpleasant smell and significant erosion made it difficult to enjoy. The Preferred beach area was practically deserted, and beverage service was noticeably lacking. Now for the positives! The room was lovely, and the staff throughout the resort were exceptional. A special thank-you to Francesco, who remembered us from two years ago and was absolutely fantastic! Ricardo and Elpidio at the Mexican restaurant were outstanding, and Edwin at the breakfast buffet was a pleasure every morning. What a character! We also enjoyed beautiful weather throughout our stay. Overall, 6.5/10. Dreams Jade still has wonderful people and plenty of potential, but the beach conditions and Preferred package could use improvement. We’d happily return for the hospitality, but would skip the Preferred upgrade next time.

  Very poorly ran resort!

  Check in was a terrible experience as nobody knew what was going on. We arrived at 11:30 and was told our bags would be in our room and we could promptly get our keys at 3 pm. At 3 they told us that our room wasn’t ready and for be another 30-45 minutes and then they “misplaced” our luggage. Depending on what set of room you get put in is to how you are treated. The property although it was beautiful smelled of sewer. The room service would not leave washcloths cloths or hand towels in the bathroom so you were at a disadvantage in taking a shower if you didn’t have your own. I asked everyday for the concierge to assist us in getting my aging father a power chair and i guess im still waiting on each phone call that I was promised everyday from them at the front desk. The street fair charged my wife 135 US dollars for a little glass turtle that was only supposed to be 8 dollars and would t give her a receipt. When she discovered the charge he said sorry no refunds. USE CASH FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! We will never return to this resort as we work too hard for our money for a vacation to be this way. Amstar is amazing and so was Frontier. Dreams Jade was not. Go to the hotel zone to one of the hotels up there.

  Best vacation ever

  We had a fabulous visit, the room was wonderful , clean and housekeeping was great. The restaurants were wonderful. We especially want to recognize Jose Juarez our server in the buffet and the hostess Jocelin at the buffet. One day Jocelin went next door to Capers to order me a special dinner that Jose personally delivered at us in the buffet because my husband was unable to eat the food at Capers. They also included one of the signature deserts from Capers. this was indicative of the above and beyond service through out the resort. Kudos !! the spa was also amazing !!

  Jonathan is amazing!!

  Great atmosphere newly remodeled rooms. Jonathan in Carnival buffet was exceptional!!
