Not the Experience I expected
It was one of the worse experiences I've had at a resort. The food was terrible every place we at. No signs to know where you were going. Then they had my dates wrong and locked me out of my room. I had to walk back and forth in the blazing 90-degree heat, getting paperwork to prove to them my check out was the next day. When I proved to them, I was correct, they still gave me attitude. the killer part, they never apologized once and owned up for the mishap. They act like I was looking for a free night. This is after I upgraded my room back in May to a preferred room. Come to find out at check-out it came with a butler. SMH. There are a lot more places I would recommend other than this place! It might be worth 2 stares with a 5-star price!

An Unforgettable Stay at Secrets La Romana
A wonderful stay at Secrets La Romana! My wife and I spent five nights at this beautiful resort, and everything exceeded expectations. The grounds are stunning, the beach calm and clear, and the atmosphere peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in a Preferred Club room, which added some great extra touches… including access to a private lounge, pool, and exclusive restaurant options. The food was fantastic. We tried nearly every restaurant. Mare was our favorite thanks to Kensia, Lisset, Jennifer, Nancy, and hostess Heidi. They were always warm and welcoming. Ausangate, the Peruvian restaurant, was another highlight. Ramona provided such kind, attentive service. Coastal Grill also stood out for both the food and the exceptional service from Moises. The Preferred Club Lounge Bar was one of our favorite hangouts. Wander and Johan are two of the best bartenders we’ve ever met! My wife and I really connected with them, and I affectionately referred to them as “De lo mío”... a Dominican phrase meaning “of my people,” which perfectly captured the sense of friendship and connection we felt. We also loved Aroma Café, where Veronica always greeted us with a smile and topped off our cappuccinos with little hearts in the foam… such a thoughtful touch. Every single staff member we met was friendly, professional, and proud of their work. They’re truly what make this resort exceptional. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Beautiful resort for outstanding vacation
This beautiful resort is located in a peaceful location next to a sandy beach. They offer a pleasant atmosphere, friendly and professional service with several pools, restaurants and bars. I especially recommend the french restaurant La Moustache or the asian Sakura. The staff is really friendly. I have to highly praise mr. Carlos King who tried his best to make everything perfect during our stay. We will be happy to return to this hotel.

2 weeks stay
We arrived home this morning after 2 weeks at Secrets (not preferred) - Pros: - the grounds are immaculate, the staff work so hard to keep everything clean and to a high standard. Whenever seaweed appeared they were there early morning to clear. - All staff say hello, and make you feel welcomed wherever you go - The view from the adult infinity pool overlooking the beach is bliss - The activities in the days are fun (especially the paddle yoga!) - Coffee shop is a really good added bonus, we loved our late afternoon pastry/doughnut and iced latte! - Belkis at the pool goes above and beyond - Waterpark was a lot of fun, lovely kept grounds and big lazy river. They also have lovely banana milkshakes there! - Spa was lovely and relaxing (recommend relaxing massage and purifying facial). - I suffer with serious food allergies and was provided with a letter when we arrived. The staff were so attentive and accommodating. After a few days they remembered I had my allergy and didn’t have to tell them, which was really nice as they see sooo many people! - Sunbeds always available, no need to reserve - The sports bar is a good change of scenery, branded drinks and shows premier league and English games Cons - Not much to do in the evening (however that suited us as we like to relax!) - Sometimes the wait times were over an hour for restaurants (at weekends it was much busier) - We were asked if we wanted a cabana booked, we declined, however was approached one morning to show us to a cabana which had been booked on our room - management understanding and did not charge us as we had not agreed - People smoking around the pool despite being asked by security to not do so as there’s designated smoking area - Staff in the lobby trying to get you to buy timeshares - however once they knew we were English they left us alone Tops tips: - take mosquito spray and treatment. We were bitten most days! - We found the food to be really good, always fresh and hot at breakfast in the adult buffet. We really enjoyed the Noor and Sakura - You do not need to book for Sakura (only if you want teppanyaki or sushi bar). We were told you have to book, until one evening we tried our luck and they said you don’t need to book. It’s quieter in there as I think most think they need to book - We took small notes which was good for tipping - the bananamama cocktail is delicious! Overall, we’ve had a very relaxing 2 weeks in paradise. We would return in a heartbeat! Just of note as there’s alot of negative comments about illness, I usually suffer with travellers tummy, so I went prepared with tablets etc but both me and my partner were absolutely fine throughout!

An Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience
My wife and I stayed in the Dreams resort as preferred guests for our honeymoon. Everything from our stay was incredible, from the views, the services, and the amenities. We had Victor Val as our butler and he was awesome! He’s quick to respond and he always makes sure that you are happy and enjoying your time. I would definitely recommend Victor, as well as the experience of a “preferred guest” stay.
