  Bad minibar experience

  2nd time visiting. Very good overall, cleaning 100% but as a preferred guest- mini bar refill was a disaster. Only done once per day and if you are not there it never happens even if you ask in reception Needs to be better to justify a 5 star property

  Fabulous

  Gorgeous hotel, with really friendly staff. The hotel, restaurant, bars and pool area where spotless. We loved the preferred lounge and sea legs swim up pool. We would definitely stay here again. The only small issue I had was that I had booked a sea view room and it was more like a pool view room (room 1231) Seemed a waste of money. Other than that it was fabulous.

  Perfect Holiday hotel

  Our 2nd visit to this lovely hotel, it ticks all the boxesThe breakfasts were delicious with a massive choices. We stay on Prefered club bed and breakfast and this is an excellent level to stay. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The prefered club pool area was really good ,no shortage of sun beds, the infinity pool was lovely warm. Definately recommend a stay here. We will be back again soon

  First class hotel

  This hotel is set in an ideal location by the beach and minutes walk from Playa Dorado and Playa Blanca. Shops and restaurants are plentiful. The hotel has a relaxing atmosphere and high standard of cleanliness. As previous hotel owners we appreciate the hard work that it takes to achieve this. Despite the hard work involved every member of staff is excellent and always have a smile and genuinely want guests to have a wonderful stay and be comfortable our room is spotlessly clean and comfortable, it is quiet and we always sleep well. One member of staff who excels in her management position is Marta who endeavours to make every guests stay a wonderful experience. I am here now with my husband and we will return soon. It is excellent value for the location and standard of facilities,

  Disappointing below stars

  Strange way this hotel is run with “ preferred club “ allowing access to certain parts of the hotel. But our room was pretty ordinary with a lack of any drawers to unpack into. Just 3 wardrobes. Rather a cramped bathroom with odd toilet facing so you could not sit straight. And rather spartan decor and balcony. The layout inside had most guests facing inwards at a giant screen that flickered all day showing pop videos. Felt like a waiting room . Not a welcoming 5 star rendezvous. Food choices were pretty variable and the one night we chose the “ restaurant experience “ had us waiting and queuing for 20 mins before a pretty ordinary meal. With no atmosphere at all. The good bits. - staff were superb. Attention to maintenance swift . And the outdoor area and pools was very nice. With heating in 2 of them. The duration is right beside the promenade. Lovely walking But the big elephant in the hotel is the smell of sewage which originates in the sewage soil pipes between the hotel and the Barcelo next door who we heard has had similar complaints. . We had to spray perfume a few nights on our room to overcome the powerful unpleasant smell. This is an urgent detail that requires to be dealt with by the local business and town. And I will not be going back till I know it’s fixed
