Amazing place, on the smaller scale where you could always find a chair at pool or beach, friendly staff, just overall wonderful experience. I have been to many all inclusive resorts in Mexico, and this is among the best

The staff we encountered during our trip was great, everyone was helpful and friendly. The Activities team at the swimming pool was great. However, this place needs a deep cleaning in the common areas and some maintenance. Dining choices are limited as the buffet is not open for dinner and the Italian restaurant was randomly closed without notice. Lack of a bar open in the evenings was disappointing. The only evening option was the lobby bar. If you want to party into the evening, this is not the place, we were in bed by 8:30 every night. We had a swim out suite and found a pair of women's swim bottoms on the steps the first day. The elevators were especially disgusting.

We have been here many times over the years, but not in the last few. It is a beautiful property and (almost) all the staff were attentive, friendly, warm, and provided excellent service. Our room was a bit dated but clean and everything worked well. We had four in our party, so two rooms, and one of the rooms had a leaky ceiling that seemed like possibly AC condensation, because it was very hot and humid and between hurricanes. But they came right away and fixed it, and mentioned that all the rain had exposed leaks and they were working as fast as they can to repair. They were very understanding and offered us another room. The food was excellent everywhere, and we always had great service. We especially enjoyed the friendly and fast service at the Barefoot Bar beachside with Alejandro—who really stood out as an excellent server— and Aldo the chef. He really hustled and served many people fast with excellent food. The only real complaint was the too often at the various bars (especially the swim up bar) the bartenders didn't even try to pay attention to who was there first. You really had to be fairly aggressive to maintain any semblance of your rightful place in line. It wouldn't take a lot of training to fix this minor issue, and I hope management does so. We had a great time despite the few minor issues.
