This hotel previously was a luxury resort but no longer is. It needs to be renovated. The pools were rough and we all got cuts. In terms of the food, I got food poisoning from fusion. The service and the steakhouse was also non-existent. I don't think I'll come here again. The only reason we chose this was for the children's water park and conveniently and unannounced it was closed for renovation the week that we came. Had I known this, I would have canceled and gone to a different resort.

NEEDS A RENOVATION
We paid 4,500 for 6 days at Dreams Playa Mujeres. We got the Preferred Ocean View King Suite. It was very apprent walking into our room that they need to renovate. Very outdated. The furniture was heavily scratched and scuffed. The room smelled like mildew. We actually had another woman at the resort say she wouldnt hang up her clothes in the closet because it smelled so mildewy in the closet. Sleep quality was poor. Two regular pillows that were really uncomfortable and small decorative pillows. My wife and I brought our two kids 8 months and 4 yr old. We booked this place because they had a water park for our 4 yr old. The water park was not open. Pools were dirty. Pool floors were uneven, chipping, and rusted in places. Food was below average. The one highlight was the entertainment staff and bar staff. Take your money elsewhere and book a resort that’s newer. This place needs a renovation. Will never go back to this resort and makes us question if we would do any resorts by Dreams again.

Enjoyed our family time!
Great staff, very friendly! We went to a great tequila tasting and painting class with Gustavo and Jessica. Had a lovely time! Hotel was very clean!
