Almost perfect...but the beach experience needs work

The staff here really made the trip memorable. From Xiamora at the front desk to Adony and David at the Blue Dorado Bar, everyone was welcoming. Jorge and Rizza at Sea Legs Bar kept things fun, Raiza at That’s a Wrap was awesome, and the Oceana crew — Jose R, Emmanuel, Jimmy, and Stephany — were always on point. And a big shoutout to Miqueilin at the Oceana Buffet for her great service. The resort itself is clean, organized, and the pools and bars are beautiful. My only complaint is the number of vendors on the beach. No matter the time of day, they approach guests — and some even came up from behind, meaning they were already on the resort grounds. It would be great to see security step in more, because it only takes one incident for this to become a serious problem. Overall, a great stay with amazing staff, but the beach vendor situation definitely needs attention.

Wonderful Family Stay at Dreams Royal Beach – Preferred Club Master Suite with Private Pool

We stayed at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana from September 14–21, 2026, for seven nights. It was my husband, myself, and our 17-year-old son, and overall we had a wonderful vacation. We stayed at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana from September 14–21, 2026, for seven nights. It was my husband, our 17-year-old son, and myself and overall we had a wonderful vacation. We stayed in Preferred Club Master Suite with Private Pool, room 7135, and honestly, the room was amazing. It was an end unit, so it felt very private and peaceful. Having our own pool was such a treat, and the room itself was clean, spacious and beautiful. One of our favourite features was the outdoor jet Jacuzzi tub. The food was actually very good. My husband and I are frequent all-inclusive travellers, especially in the Punta Cana area, and one piece of advice we always give people is not to be afraid to order more than one thing. Portions at all-inclusive can sometimes be on the smaller side, so we often order two appetizers and two mains each. If we really want to try a few things, we will even order three. We usually let our server know what we are doing, and nobody ever had an issue with it. It is all-inclusive, enjoy it! Sometimes you will love something and sometimes you won't, so ordering a few different things means you're much less likely to be disappointed with your dinner. The service was excellent, and we definitely tip for good service. We want to give a huge shout-out to our butler, Martin. He was absolutely amazing from the minute we arrived until the minute we checked out. He was attentive, helpful and genuinely made our stay easier. Another big shout-out to Raya, one of the servers at the Preferred Club pool bar. She was wonderful and really took care of us. She would often come out to our private pool to bring us drinks, which was such a nice touch. The bartender Yuni at was so much fun! He had such a great personality and always made stopping at the bar enjoyable. We also want to mention the manger at the Preferred Club Lounge. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. We had one small issue during our stay with the jets in the outdoor jacuzzi tub not working properly. It really was not a huge deal, but our butler Martin brought it to the manager's attention, and the manager went above and beyond to make things right. We really appreciated how seriously they took it and how they handled the situation. The grounds are beautiful, the pools are gorgeous, everything is clean, and there are bars and food options everywhere. The entertainment was also very good. We only made it out to the evening entertainment one night, but we really enjoyed it. The drinks were good, and the water slides were a lot of fun. Something that was especially important to us was how accommodating everyone was with our son, who is autistic. He doesn't always want to go to restaurants in the evening, and the staff were incredibly understanding. They offered to have pretty much anything he wanted from the available menus sent to our room. That meant a lot to us and made the vacation much less stressful as a family. One thing we highly recommend is getting one of the beach cabanas for the day. We stayed at Secrets the year before and had a beach cabana there, so we decided to do one again at Dreams Royal Beach. It was absolutely stunning and such a relaxing way to spend the day. Of course, like anywhere, you're going to occasionally come across someone who isn't quite as enthusiastic or chatty as you might expect. We didn't take any of that personally. Everyone has a bad day sometimes, and overall the service we received was fantastic. We've stayed at a number of all-inclusive resorts, particularly in Punta Cana, and Dreams Royal Beach definitely gave us a great family vacation. Beautiful property, great pools, good food, excellent service, fun activities, and a staff that genuinely seemed to care about making our stay enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend Dreams Royal Beach to families looking for a great Punta Cana vacation. We had a fantastic seven nights and would happily come back!

Great place to relax and drink. Food is mediocre.

Everything was great except the food. All of the food, even the specialty restaurant food was mediocre. Plenty to drink, plenty of uncrowded pools.

  What an amazing week!!

We Loved Dreams Royal. The Swim out room was an upgrade for my husband and I. The view from the room was flush with beautiful plants and greenery all over. The beach was gorgeous and the ocean easy to walk into. The individuals that gave exceptional service were Reye from house keeping. Nelson M. from the On A Roll restaurant and pizzeria. The pizza was oh so good. Miquelini from The Market cafe was welcoming and friendly. We also enjoyed making a stop at the Dolce Cafe where all members of staff were great. The food was good but definitely had room for improvement.
