  Not so good for HYATT's Name

  It is totally isolated from anywhere, beaches were not clean and have a lot of seaweed with an awful and disgusting continues odor so you can not open the sliding door or sit in the balcony/jacuzzi. The room is average but still too dark (not enough lights). We reserved a suite with an expensive package allowed us to use the lounge (only place with air condition) but nothing is there beside very little snacks and a bar, so if you do not care about air condition don't bother with the expensive package. People generally are very decent and willing to help but always waiting for tips which we always do tip anyone help. Because of the awful odor we spent much time in the room but the TV needed to be fixed two to three times daily for the same issue (signal lost), we could not sit in the balcony or even use the Jacuzzi. Spa was great experience and reasonably priced. Food is below average, restaurants did not turn on A/C ca so it was hot and everyone is looking to sit under a ceiling fan. This is our second time in Cancun, the first time we stayed at the Moon Palace which we had great experience then we tried this resort but we could not wait till we go back home because of the inconvenient situation. We met a friend of mine and his wife there and we walked to the lounge to catch up BUT MR. SAMUEL decided to act like an ICE agent and said your friend or his wife do not have an access to the lounge and you should leave or pay $120.00!!! He was very rude, not professional and humiliated me and my wife in front of my friend, I tried to pay the $120 but my friend & his wife said let us go set in the room or another area away from the beach odor. Anyway it was an awful experience, we love Hyatt brand but this was one of the worst hotels we ever stayed. I do not recommend this location.

  Would return

  This resort is excellent, close enough to the airport to have a short transfer time of about 20 -25 minutes but without ongoing airport noise. The food is absolutely superb, with plenty of choice. The staff could not be more helpful. The whole resort was clean and although there was some noise around the pool from the entertainment team, it wasn't too intrusive and it was certainly quiet at night times. The beach is suffering from the same sargassum issue that many do currently. There is very little the hotel can do other than what they are doing, which is stay on top of cleaning it up. But it did mean the beach was out of use most mornings until later in the afternoon as the smell seemed worse in the morning. You could not smell the sargassum from the pool though. A couple of things could have been improved. The decor of our Preferred Club garden room was somewhat dated. The storage space for a family of 4 was very limited, and there were minor repairs needed (for example, 2 drawers would continually open and not stay closed).

  Brilliant Kids Club

  Brilliant hotel with great facilities and brilliant staff. A real highlight was the kids club which our kids just loved. Special shout out to Fanny and Mich who were excellent with them.

  5 stars all day long – absolutely blown away by Dreams Sapphire!

  We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at Dreams Sapphire, 11 nights in paradise! We were truly blown away by the beautiful and well maintained surroundings, exceptional service and fantastic food. The resort and restaurants were out of this world, but the wonderful staff truly made our holiday. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble! A special mention goes to the Explorers Club team – Fanny, Mich, Nancy, Ya Ya and Sophia. They were fantastic with our 3- and 11-year-old children, who had an absolute ball at kids club and often preferred being there to spending time with us! Their care and genuine enthusiasm were exceptional. Such a fantastic, hard working team. The entertainment team, especially David and Tony, also deserve huge praise. Their energy, friendliness and enthusiasm felt authentic and consistent from morning until night. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and a high standard throughout. Our favourites were the Mexican, Blue Water and French restaurants. For drinks we loved Barracuda bar on the beach, always much quieter than the pool bar and any cocktail you can think of lovingly hand crafted! Dreams Sapphire exceeded our expectations in every possible way and we would visit again in a heartbeat.

  Great experience

  We loved the week we spent in our preferred club oceanfront swim out. We were in room 204 in building 2. The room was very clean and spacious. Any maintenance requests were tended to quickly. Bascilio took us on a tour of the resort by golf cart and he handled our luggage with care! Martha and Antonio both served drinks directly to our swim out and provided us with amazing service. I would definitely book this room again just for the service at the swim out with the amazing view. I loved all the restaurants but the French restaurant was my favorite! The French onion soup and apple tart are the best! We got a free hydrotherapy session with our preferred room. Lizabeth guided us through our session and it was one of the best hydrotherapy sessions I have gone to at a resort. The bike tour to Puerto Morales with Edwardo was also great! We went to several shows while on the property including the cloud show and magician. Both were great! The only issue I had with the resort was the air conditioning did not appear to be working at several of the restaurants and the PTAC units had visible fault codes.
