One word, SCAM! My husband and I stayed in April, 2025. The resort itself is ok. What you need to protect yourself from is the UVC sales pitch! They will offer you incentives like Resort cash. They also tell you it only last one hour. There is there first lie! My appointment started at 10am, I was still there at 2pm. During my sales pitch my salesman was Miguel.S What's App number 52-998-242-0382. He told me that I could cancel anytime. I thought this sounded fishy. I kept asking him throughout the 4 hours I was listening to the scam. He always confirmed, cancel anytime! He also told me that i could use RCI to get discounted weeks at something like 499$ per week. I specifically asked about the El Dorado, an all inclusive resort. Miguel said "yes" this sounded to good to be true. Miguel called a manager over who confirmed RCI can be used on All Inclusive resorts, as well as canceling anytime. Miguel went on to tell me about Rewards credits, u experience, uvc, Unlimited elite points, premier nights, vip weeks etc. These are all completely different entities, different website, different phone numbers everything. You can't just go to the website or app and book a trip. All these entities also have different rules and exceptions. It is Extremely confusing. They do this on purpose. Miguel also told me that because I am a uvc member now I will get preferred status perks at all uvc resorts. A couple hours later as Miguel is telling me about the 25% off regular prices for uvc resorts. He showed me on his phone, I see different room pricing but I also see preferred pricing which is quite a bit more money. I asked Miguel, why are preferred prices listed if I already get preferred perks for being a member? I wonder how many people have fallen for that! Paying for something they already have! I had many more questions throughout my stay. Miguel was always there to be of assistance. Now, I've texted and called with no response. At the end of everything they tell you to expect a call with your Welcome Pack in about a week. We return home and 7-10 days later I get the call for my Welcome pack. Guess what your welcome pack is! They ask you for more money! For me it was 11k. The uvc purchase price was 20k for 30 years, and now another 11k!! They say this is for your protection! If you pay the 11k your yearly fees will be fixed at 99$ If you don't purchase the welcome pack at 11k your yearly fees will be variable. I can't imagine the fees would be in 20 years! I was quite upset by this. I asked many detailed questions. I finally get out of this conversation that the dues they speak of are for RCI. Not uvc, or u experiences, or any other entity tangled in this mess. I then ask what happens if I don't pay for the welcome pack that i Now know is for RCI only. NOTHING!!!! You lose RCI that's it. So they call and act like they are trying to help you keep cost down with this welcome pack freezing your yearly dues at 99$ When really RCI has nothing to do with uvc! I did not purchase the welcome pack. Maybe a week later I get another call for the welcome pack. This time a different rep called. I ask if I can use RCI for the El Dorado? She says "no RCI is for hotels only, not All Inclusive resorts" WHAT! I explained how Miguel told me that I most certainly could. She said "well maybe if you ask you could get it" ? What? That makes no sense! Afters all this in just done! I tell them I want to cancel, they say sorry, you had 5 days to cancel. Miguel and his manager both told me multiple times that i could cancel anytime! This is just such a SCAM! Now they say i need to speak with Quality Assurance. I've called, emailed, left messages everything. Joshua Campos from quality assurance just sends me emails reminding me of all the perceived perks of this scam! Now, for the people who have been members for 10+ years and say uvc is great, your right! I was a member 8 years ago, it was a 5 year membership. They didn't lie. It was just uvc then, no Hyatt. Since Hyatt had taken over is gone straight in the toilet!

We got married here in January 2026 and Josselyne Montané was our assigned wedding coordinator. We could not be happier to have her as our go to person for our wedding. She was always 2 steps ahead of everything, no problem is too big for her to solve, and she gives the best advice and input to make your day perfect. The food was great, staff was amazing, and all of our guests loved the property and wedding events. Thank you again Josselyne and the DVC team. - Michelle & Roger

Jan 23, 2026A Great Stay!
This resort is well put together with amazing restaurants and service. We went with three other couples making us a total of 8 people. We enjoyed the food and entertainment. The amenities were good and the Preferred upgrade was well worth it so we could have access to the roof top Blue Water Grill restaurant for breakfast and lunch, otherwise dinner was the only available option. We enjoyed the roof top pool and bar as well. The reason I didn’t give five stars is because although the building, service, and amenities were great, there were a few issues with the air conditioning (it went out in the middle of the night and we didn’t have a great sleep), multiple floors would lose water in the morning, and at times we had to wait a long time for service because there was a shortage of waiters (but service was great!). I would recommend this resort to anyone though and would come back! Thanks for a great stay!

Relaxing trip
This resort was perfect for a quiet relaxing trip. It did not ever seem too busy. The restaurants sometimes had a 20-30 minute wait but that did not bother us. Liz and Isabel gave a really relaxing couples massage. The hydrotherapy circuit in the spa was really nice. We liked that the entertainment was there if you look for it but the area never seemed annoying. It wasn’t too loud or big party resort. Ruby in the entertainment team stood out to us and was very fun! My one criticism is that the nightly entertainment really did not have a good stage so they would sit a big crowd in seats around people performing who were standing on the ground so every night the entertainment was hard to see. They need to set this up properly with a stage in a theatre so people can see good.

Very understaffed. If you are UVC...do not go. You cannot get restaurant reservations and they will not do anything to accommodate you. It is not the staffs fault...there are not enough of them. World of Hyatt should work hard to hire more people and enhance the experience. I have loved every other Dreams and Secrets experience I have had and this was honestly awful. We brought two friends and I am embarrassed.
