The room was clean. Staff was friendly the food and drinks and the pool were great.

Pleasant stay
Staff was excellent in their attention to me. Restaurant food was delicious. Room was musty which is common in the tropics.

Located to north of San Miguel, transport by taxi or rental vehicle is needed. Cost has increased steadily over the years we've been visiting. Laid back atmosphere, mainly due to low numbers staying. Rooms are spacious, but dated. Hotel offers good value for money, with all inclusive food and drinks. Hotel is kept clean, but areas such as the outside dining area are in much need of repair. The hotel was quiet, with lower numbers of patrons than in past visits. Service is always good, always with a smile. Many of the staff remember us from year to year. Hotel amenities could do with some modernizing. There are few electrical outlets in the rooms and these are old and unable to support some appliances. Air conditioning fans are noisy and run constantly. Food and drinks are readily available all day. Quality is average, better on weekends. The beach is great for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing.

A little piece of magic.
I have been staying at El Cozumeleño for 25 years and loved every trip. Plumbing could use a little maintenance and an upgrade on the air conditioning would be great. As for service and friendliness of the staff there's nothing comparable on the I island. They greet me like family and genuinely care about your stay. The place has a certain magic and charm about it that will keep me coming back for as long as I can (I'm 77)

Must visit this beach resort on a cruise stop
We booked a day pass at this beach resort while on our cruise stop in Cozumel. It is only a 10 minute drive from Punto Langosta terminal. It is quite. No kids running all over the place. This is our second visit and we absolutely love it. Great food and drink. Get there early and eat at the breakfast buffet. All the staff are welcoming. The receptionist, Yasmin, was so friendly and accommodating. Santiago, Paulino, Miguel, Carlos and all the other restaurant and bar staff were excellent. The beach is so clean and the water was very clear on the day we were there. Highly recommend!!!
