Feb 15, 2026Amazing and Relaxing week made even better by the staff at this beautiful resort
We went for our first time to El Dorado Maroma after many times to other El Dorado resorts….what can I say, this company knocked it out of the park again. The hotel is small and the grounds are luxurious and impeccably maintained. Our room was the Beachfront Haven suite and the view made us not want to leave our room! The beach is world class, absolutely stunning, white powder sand for miles and the bluest turquoise waters we have seen in Mexico. But what TRULY made this resort stand out was the staff. They made our stay AMAZING. Mauricio, leading the entertainment, got us all moving and made sure we were not bored all week! Juliet, our Butler, made sure that we were left not wanting anything. Her attention to detail really made the difference. Arturo at Papitos was the best waiter we have ever had in Mexico. Felipe and his famous shots hit the spot after a fun day at the pool. We definitely will be back!

A Great Mexican Experience
The resort is great, clean and comfortable. Like a little community. Staff is outstanding, friendly and very good at their jobs. We had a large room with a king sized bed and a private pool. We stayed at the El Dorado Maroma and will be going back. The bands at night can be loud especially if your rooms face the pool but they are always done by 10pm the sports/activity coordinators were great. Mafer, Alex, Osvaldo, Jerome, Mauricio and Chris were engaging and fun

Unforgettable
Well, I’m a bit late for the review guys so I’m sorry for that. For my wife and I it was our 3rd trip to Mexico and for our friends it was their 1st. This was the best stay in Mexico end off! Large enough of a resort to have your own space yet small enough to be remembered by staff and to make new friends with the guests. It was a Goldilocks holiday and the porridge that’s just right!! The beach, the food, the rooms (we stayed in the Mi hotelito deluxe beach front suite) and finally the staff. The most welcoming, friendliest warming staff you could ever wish to have on your holiday. All the restaurant staff were great however in Papitios restaurant they are amazing especially Augustine!! All the bar staff are so bubbly and friendly especially these guys n gals: Alfredo, Emma & Renée at the main pool bar thanks for all the spicy margs. Leonardo and Anna too and so sorry we didn’t catch her name, the ‘lovely jubbly) bar lady is ace! We couldn’t leave a review without mentioning the King of Tacos, Miguel in the taqueria bar & DJ Chris in Ricks Lastly and by no means least, the entertainment staff. Alex, you and your team simply made our holiday. Jerik, Mafey, Mauricio & Osvaldo you have the most kindest souls. Till next time, from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU

Wonderful stay.
Consistently wonderful staff! This is what most sets this resort apart. Genuine, skilled, creative & trying to do anything to assist - even if outside their specific job description. Spectacular, clean beach with powder sand. Excellent food & food choices. Highlights included room service French Fries, guacamole & desserts, Lima Limon fish filet lunch, as well as marina outside charcoal bbq - included for us as a surprise - but you need to ask for your ticket morning-of. Rooms were wonderfully clean & well maintained. Swim out room was great - especially in afternoons when sun hit. Concierge Elizabeth was skillful, non-intrusive and helped arrange for subsidized, massage & tequila tasting. Drinks kept coming. I leaned heavily into mezcal & tequila but got to experience one of Felipe’s peanut butter shots & I understand why they are famous! (Think subtly alcoholic peanut butter chocolate milkshake). Super Bowl party was a great experience. Guests were uniformly happy, helpful & relaxed. Thanks to all in this group who helped us anticipate and prepare. Tips were never prompted but always gratefully & sincerely acknowledged. Many fellow Canadians were visiting for the first time like us. 🇲🇽🇨🇦❤️ I anticipate this new snowbird destination will be part of our, future travel plans and also part of those we met.
