  Beautiful Grounds and Excellent Staff

  This was my husbands and my first time staying at an all inclusive resort. The thing we liked most about the resort was the staff; they were excellent! Every employee we met was super kind and made us feel happy and cared for. Some of the employees that really stood out were Jonathan, Carlos (waiter at Mexican restaurant), Marco (assinged cabanas), Brian (reserved massages). What we disliked the most was the loud music they played outside in the afternoon. It was almost impossible to read a book on the beach or contemplate. It ruined the peace we were hoping to find on this trip, at least in the afternoons. In regards to the food, it was good, not particularly great, but good. The Mexican restaurant was definitely our favorite. Our room (Hotelito room) was comfortable and had a spacious terrace. Half of the Hotelito rooms are on the ground floor with patios and have no privacy. I highly recommend the second floor rooms. The maid service was excellent and they kept us stocked with snacks, bottled water, etc. I don't think we will return to this resort or any other for that matter because we realized we just aren't resort type people. We aren't big socializers or drinkers. But for those who are, I highly recommend this resort. It was absolutely beautiful!

  Honeymoon

  William, Yasser, Alvaro, Marlene, Arturo, Carlos, Alex, Mafer, Osvaldo, Mauricio, Marco and many others were all amazing and made us feel at home and very welcomed. El Dorado Maroma and the Palafitos were both beautiful, well maintained, and nice friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Great experience overall.

  Celebration of LOVE

  Beautiful beach, relaxing atmosphere, impressive thoughtful staff. Prepare to be pampered! We just returned from 9 nights celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Our celebration was enhanced by rose petals, a special wine room dinner, flower arrangements and great food. Upon arrival, we were greeted personally (by name) by the front desk staff and supervisor. Our Beach butler, went above and beyond by playing my favorite song, "Remember When" right from a speaker on the beach! Every restaurant at which we had dinner, we were greeted personally by the staff prior to being seated This staff aims to please including the housekeepers and spa personnel. We have been to Maroma before, love the serenity, and of course we will be returning as often as possible!

  El Dorado Maroma Ressort: More Than an Activity Team – A Beach Family”

  The activity team – Osvaldo, Alex, Mafer, DJ Cris, Jerik, and Mauricio – is simply amazing! From the very first moment, they made us feel welcome, included, and genuinely cared for. They are always attentive, full of energy, and constantly involved in the activities, making sure everyone is having a great time. What really sets this team apart is their positive vibe and natural friendliness. They are always smiling, laughing, and spreading good energy, which makes every activity even more fun. Spending time with them feels less like organized entertainment and more like hanging out at the beach with your best friends from back in the day – carefree, joyful, and unforgettable. They truly create a warm, fun, and relaxed atmosphere that makes your vacation so much more special. A huge thank you to this fantastic team for the laughs, the memories, and the incredible moments. You guys are the heart and soul of the experience!

  Unforgettable 9-night honeymoon – outstanding staff, amazing food, and a brilliant atmosphere

  We stayed at El Dorado Maroma for 9 nights for our honeymoon and had the most incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt special – beautiful surroundings, a relaxing vibe, and most importantly, genuinely warm and attentive staff who consistently went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Food & drink: The food was a real highlight and we were impressed with the variety and quality across the resort. Our favourite breakfast spot was Lima Limón – we went back again and again. A huge thank you to Angel and Bertin, who looked after us so well and made every visit feel extra special. We also loved dining at Papitos and I can’t recommend it enough – the tequila flambéed shrimp is a must-try, and the surf and turf molcajete was also really good. The taqueria was sensational (honestly, don’t miss it). In truth, we enjoyed everything we ate across the restaurants. The only one we didn’t try was Palafitos, purely because it’s an additional charge and not included in the all-inclusive package we booked through TUI. Tequila tasting at Papitos: One of our favourite experiences was the tequila tasting hosted by Augustin, who was incredibly knowledgeable and made it genuinely interesting and fun. It came with a fantastic charcuterie pairing, and we especially loved the crystallised tequila – it was our favourite. Highly recommend doing this if you get the chance. Spa experience: I also had a 50-minute wellness treatment at Naay Spa, which was absolutely amazing. The spa itself is very fancy and feels like a real treat. I also had an hour to use the hydrotherapy pools, sauna, and steam room. Yes, it’s an additional charge to use the facilities and have a treatment, but it was 100% worth it for the experience and relaxation. Entertainment & atmosphere: There was live entertainment most nights, and we really enjoyed it. A special shout-out to the entertainment team: Mafer, Jerik, Mauricio, Osvaldo, Alex, and DJ Cris – they brought so much energy and helped create such a fun atmosphere around the resort. We also attended the Mexican fiesta night on Thursday, which was a real highlight of our trip – the different musical acts from around Mexico were fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible, and the food and drinks were brilliant. Service that made the trip: We also want to mention Karen at the swing bar by the pool, who mixed incredible cocktails, and Manuel and Armando, the beach butlers, who were absolutely amazing and made our beach days effortless and relaxing. Room: We stayed in room 541. The room was slightly dated inside, but the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The only downside was that the balcony door was slightly damaged and there was no handle on the inside, which made it a little inconvenient but still usable. Overall, we had the most amazing honeymoon, and that was truly thanks to the hardworking, courteous staff who made us feel so welcome every single day. Everyone was friendly, happy to help, and created such a warm, memorable experience for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t recommend El Dorado Maroma enough – we would love to return.
