Great vacation in Mexico
We stayed Nov 22-29, 2025. We are in our early 60s - extremely active and healthy. We walked almost 20,000 steps a day- because we are runners and enjoy walking. There are trams to drive you if you prefer. We enjoy a peaceful holiday. This property is well established with beautiful palms and tropical vegetation. The property is well maintained. We stayed in a Premium swim up suite- but spent more time at the beach. No sun on our deck after 2 pm. There are literally 100 plus Bali beds through the property- and most are first come first serve. We were up to watch the sunrise and never had a problem getting our preferred spot. If you are up before 9 am you can likely find a good spot. There are several different beach areas. We chose the area at the far end of the resort- no access to the water. Quiet and peaceful and right on the ocean. There are 2 sections where you can go into the water- the first closest to the dining area is more busy than the one further down the beach. If you are comfortable leaving the property you can easily walk 30 minutes on the beach. It is very safe and there are other resorts. Not really possible to beach walk at the Seaside Suites end of the resort. The pools are very nice - not huge. At the far end of the property there are rows of palm trees- surrounded by painted coconuts- painted by tourists. Overall the food is very good. Our favourite was the Italian followed by the Asian. These two require reservations which were very difficult to get. When we met with the concierge we only got a reservation at the Italian restaurant for our last night at 9:30. We were fortunate to be offered the Asian the following day. I should point out that- as long as you have a reservation you might get in earlier. We went at 5:30 - instead of 9:30 and they were able to accommodate us. You don’t need reservations at the Mediterranean or the Pub. We did not go to the Mexican.- although we would have like to go. There was a BBQ night at the main square with a fire show- which was very good. There is also a Mexican night but we went t to the Italian restaurant that night. There are a couple places to get a la carte breakfast- Driftwood and the Mediterranean. The main buffet - Seaside Market and the one at the beach were also very good. Lots of outdoor sitting at the beachside buffet. Lunch buffet near the beach didn’t have a lot of variety- but there is a place to get burritos, pizza, hamburgers and tacos near the beach. There is also a BBQ spot further down the beach. We did t eat at the Vegan restaurant- but a great option. There was great drink service at the part of the beach where we spent most of our time. The rooms were very clean but are in need of an update. Remember to leave a tip for those who clean your room- they make your stay that much more enjoyable. People remember to tip those who make you a drink and serve you a meal- don’t forget the people who clean your room- they do a great job.Overall we had a great vacation at this resort. But do your research and make sure it is right for you. Enjoy your h9liday and the Me I an hospitality.

Amazing time at the Palms
Just returned from our week at the palms. Had absolutely great relaxing time. Everything from the ride to the resort, check in, room, food, drinks and staff was amazing, zero concerns. It is a big resort but if you didn’t feel like walking there was always someone with a golf cart ready to help. The grounds were always being looked after as was the beach. The beach was nice as was the numerous pools. Ate at every restaurant and loved them all. Special shout out to Elizabeth and Ricardo , who looked after the swim up bar at our buildings pool. Amazing service, drinks and just a pleasure to be around. We ate breakfast at the cullinarium and our waiter, which we can’t remember his name, was great. Amazing service, always had a smile so a wonderful way to start your day. We enjoyed all the nighttime entertainment. Wether it was the singers, saxophone, karaoke, fire show or our fav, the silent disco, we had fun. All in all a great time and would defiantly recommend.

Tough for seniors
Large spread out and difficult with all the walking and waiting for carts. No steps in two of the pools we used on the Palms side. Bali beds go early at a full resort. Only was able to dine at one of the reservation restaurants. Conversely a beautiful resort with an outstanding staff and above average food and shows.

Lovely Resort
Lovely resort in a good location. Excellent staff who couldn’t do more for you. Entertainment crew were incredible (Luis, Jose and Andrea!) along with drinks servers (we had Carina by the pool for the whole 2 weeks, drinks didn’t stop flowing!) and restaurant staff (especially Edgar). Communication from the resort could be better when restaurant reservations change and the buffet could be bigger but otherwise amazing with good food.

Third Trip to El Dorado Seaside Palms
This was our third trip to El Dorado Seaside Palms (and also El Dorado Maroma) and it was our best trip to this resort by far. Prearrival and checkin were excellent with Isabell and other Exotic Members staff. The size of EDSP is great for convenience to restaurants, bars and amenities. The Butlers, Arturo, Julian, Ana and Azael were great as were the Marival Silva and Carlos on the housekeeping staff. All requests and needs were met and exceeded. The Members Section Beach Butlers, Celvin and Gabriel, were so personable and ensured we had palapas each day and the beach service by Martha, Corina, & Regina was the best! We enjoyed the daily treats they served us on the beach. The meals at Asian and Italian restaurants were awesome in both service and quality food (repeated both restaurants) and Aristeo and the others were great servers. The Gormet Pub is our least favorite; but, it was acceptable. The Mexican Fiesta was good, but the lines were so long it was not worth the wait. The upgrade for a Chefs Table meal at Mia Casa was definitely a disappointment this year compared to last year. Service was poor, communication was poor, there was no greeting by the Chef; however, the food was good. It just was not worth the cost of the upgrade. The Fire Show had to be moved indoors due to potential rain. It was a waste of time. Breakfast and lunch meals were good. We loved the view and location of our beachfront room near the end of the property. This trip was with friends who have been there many times. We will return in 2026.
