Chilled hotel with excellent service and food! Already booked for next year!
Ignore the bad reviews! This is a beautiful chilled hotel in luscious grounds. Staff couldn’t be nicer. Food is amazing.. if you don’t like buffets then use the restaurants with menus! (There are 6 of them) Great quality food…. My favourite was the Driftwood… white egg omelettes for breakfast and blackened tuna, coconut shrimps and scallop aviche in lime juice! Delicious! Fresh bbq on the beach everyday, buffets galore, the list is endless. Entertainment starts at 7pm with a singer or band then a fire show or something… then head to the beach bar where there are shows galore or a dj til 1am. Tip: explore hotel on your first day, locate all the restaurants, the pools, the beach then you won’t miss a thing! Some of these reviews seem like they didn’t even bother looking around… shame on them. Rooms are huge, so clean. The entertainment staff especially Luis is just amazing. We have booked for next year already. If you want a prime spot then yes you do need to get up at 7am but there are beds everywhere so u will get one easily. Oh yes and make sure you do the foam party on Saturday afternoon it’s great fun. Smart/casual wear in the evenings. Hope this has helped

Great Resort with One Missed Opportunity at Night
We had a wonderful stay overall. The food was excellent with plenty of variety and consistently high quality. The butler service truly stood out — attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Moises was who we dealt with the most, followed by Victor. The beach was beautiful, and the grounds were very well maintained, making it a relaxing and enjoyable environment. The only downside for us was the lack of evening entertainment. Between 9:00 and 11:00 PM, there was no live music, DJ, shows, or even a bar with music. Many resorts offer a sports bar during the evening where guests can watch games and enjoy a lively atmosphere. Unfortunately, while this resort used to have a similar sports bar, it is now closed. As a result, the resort felt unusually quiet during what is typically prime evening time, which was a bit of a bummer. Aside from this, it’s a lovely resort, and with some nighttime entertainment options restored, it would be even better.

Trust the bad reviews!
If you like Wetherspoons this is the place for you especially for the food! All precooked and served cold. Food was really poor for a 5 star hotel as TUI advertised! If you have allergies or intolerance if something on the menu they won’t change or remove is because it’s pre made! Rooms are very dated and cold and damp. Reservations are limited but they can get you in any restaurant if you buy a $90 of wine funny that! Do not go here save your money and go elsewhere!

Nightmare of a resort
I am terminally ill with cancer ,we asked for a ground floor apartment. When we arrived we were given a 3 storey apartment with no lifts.i asked to be moved to something more appropriate which the reply was it was full .I struggled 10days with the stairs If you go for the sun then don't expect to get a sunbed by the pool .I had to get up at 630am every morning to get the beds .we had to go on the beach which was not ideal because all sunbeds by the pools are in the shade all day especially the hotel. The food for lunch was very poor .the same every day .burgers hotdogs and pizza. They had a small buffet inside but the amount of choice was very small Drinks was OK but of a night it was a party feel as the dj was on all night which the Canadians and Americans loved it was so loud .tables and seating was limited. The bars at night are limited .the plaza which is in front of reception held Mexican nights and other events .we felt like second class citizens as you had to pay £200 for a bottle of wine and a table especially at new years eve .if you didn't want this you were given the choice of a white plastic chair .absolutely discussted. The majority of the staff were lovely apart from the bar staff at the Ariciffe. They were miserable unless you gave them a tipp ang something aggressive in service .I cam go on and on .we normally use the acumel up the rd I am sorry I didn't spend the 5k going back there .very unhappy customer. Trust the bad reviews
I usually ignore bad reviews as I find people complaining about food and drinks and that is part for an inclusive resort. Food and drinks were mostly good, depending on bartender . My biggest complaint is the constant inflexibility and push for up charges. We usually stay at RIU or Iberostar and will continue to do so after this . We were a party of 7 and even with reservations they would not let us sit together for meals! We could if we wanted to pay extra for a private room along with a $200 bottle of wine. We couldn't add one extra chair or put 2 small tables together. Ridiculous! My husband bumped a piece of pottery style art on the wall during the night and it shattered on the floor. We cleaned it up and didn't try to hide it. However, upon check out they said housekeeping told them and we didn't report it so we would be charged $500 USD. I explained it was an accident and they said $250. After trying to reach my travel agent and explaining it was an accident and I had 3 rooms and couldn't even sit and eat as a family and apologizing for not knowing I had to report it, she finally gave me a card to check out without additional fees. I've never experienced the feeling of a resort not trying to keep the customer happy . The resort is very isolated so no walking down the beach for shopping and massages. BTW, spa people were extremely pushy with walking around the resort trying to sell massages at $200. The package includes free excursions but they are 8 hours long. If you want half a day excursions you pay extra. The free half day to a cenote didn't offer water or snacks unless you purchased and you hiked an hour in and out. Plenty of beach beds and hammocks but of course, an additional charge, even though they sat empty all day. The rooms were the plus with a beautiful view of the ocean plus walk out mini (freezing) pool in January. If you travel with more than 4 people and want to see more than the resort, don't stay here. I will return to RIU and Iberostar from now on.
